I feel that was out of character for Merida to attempt to kill her suitors, even if she didn't want to get married, she won't kill them even while having a break down.

Wow..I knew Merida didn't like Hiccup (yet! XD) but I never thought she'll want to kill him! Will the plots of Brave and HtTyD happen at the same time? Because Hiccup still has his 2 legs and I don't think he has Toothless (does he?)

The fight between Hiccup and William was amusing, Merida's snap was good and I liked the way Hiccup stooped her all of the sudden with some logic.

One complaint, there were parts when you wanted to write "Fergus" but you wrote "Stoick" instaned. Not a huge problem but it was kinda wired reading that Stoick pounched himself

Great chapter, I'm not shore it in Mérida character to try to murder Hipcup like that, she does have a outgoing, forceful personality and wants to get out of the marriage but killing Hipcup it a bit much, but all in all great chapter.

Wow I am having so much fun reading this. I liked how you really empathizes the Scottish accent, and added an old friendship between Merida and the other boys. I can't wait to see how the next chapter turns out!

Another solid chapter! As for the accent thing, I figured it out. With single line of dialogues it's fine, but when a character monologues (as did the grandfather did in the beginning) that's when the headache comes.

The only critique I have for this chapter is that you started a sentence with "He wore" 36 times. While I really liked reading the extensive and solid description (and it seems like you did your research :o), the lack of varying sentence structure makes it seem like a list, you know?

Hiccup's reaction to Merida made me lol. Can't wait to see how he will fare against the champion... should be humorous to watch. *brings out the popcorn* Also, does this take place before or after Toothless?

Nice touch with the sons of the lords being friends of Merida. Given the new timeline, it certainly makes sense, since the clans are already united.
So, the dragons should show up in the next chapter? Looking forward to seeing how THAT goes down. At least Merida's people are warriors, who hate the dragons as much as the people of Berk do. And she'll get to show off with her archery, too.

oh no, the way you write the accent is perfect! I can totally hear it in my head, every lilt and intonation. I love it!

I honestly thought Hiccup would have tried to run away, and they be forced to catch him multiple times before they met but, oh well, not my story.
Though what Merida's thoughts on Hiccup should be explained sooner or later.

This is one of the best Mericcups I've ever seen, and believe me, I've seen a lot.
