You are an awesome writer! I laughed, I cried, I threw up in my mouth a little. Gotta love, Meg! You should think about publishing.
| That Angsty Impala chapter 32 . 1/25
Oh, God. I cried all of the way through this fic, start to end, every chapter, I literally had tears dripping off my chin! This fic tore my heart in half, sewed it back together again, and then ran it over in a '67 Chevy Impala, and though it broke me somewhere along the line, it was one of the most powerful fics I have ever read! Stunning and unmissable

What an amazing series! Really loved the way the you got the bros characters so well, and how they both came to terms with their traumas! So brilliantly written!
| Sphinxius chapter 32 . 5/30/2014
This is one of the most intense, heart-wrenching, heartfelt, beautiful stories I have ever read in this fandom. Or maybe perhaps anywhere. And this ending was such a perfect ending to the journey you took us on. It couldn't have been more perfect. Amazing work.

This is the second time I've read this fic and it still manages to make me cry. Very well done! :)
| LilyBolt chapter 32 . 1/1/2014
Regarding just this chapter:
First, I was really pleased to see Dean finally forgive Garth. I totally understand why he was having a hard time with that, but since it technically wasn't Garth's fault, I think it was nice to have Dean finally accept that...It also marks a sort of milestone in Dean and Sam's recovery. :)
Second, I loved the brotherly teasing in this. Sam trying to gross Dean out with his empty eye sockets was actually funny, but also proof that Sam really had come to terms with his condition. He could joke about it directly, and that's big. :)
Third, BEST B-DAY GIFT EVER! (And not just because I love the HP books. lol) But really, Dean gave Sam something incredibly thoughtful by giving him some of Sam's favorite books on tape. And not just on tape, but in the voice of Sam's own big brother. It was just brilliant. :D
Fourth and finally, I'm just going to point out that this last chapter was like, the perfect ending. It showed how much progress both med had made. (Even just with the simple fact that Dean took Riot's lead in the beginning with no hesitation, or because Sam could kid about his eye sockets...) But it was also just so sweet, and was majorly uplifting compared to how much dark stuff the guys had dealt with earlier on in the story. It was awesome, really.
Now, regarding the story as a whole:
I'm going to be honest. I've never read a story that dealt with such intense themes as this one did. The things that Sam went through...Well, it could easily have destroyed any other person. But Sam was strong, and he came out the other end and healed from it. Dean totally helped, but a lot of it had to do with Sam's own personal strength. And when you mix Sam's personal strength with Dean's dedication to his little brother...Well, anything is possible. Including recovery from all the terrible things they had both been through over the previous year. I really think you illustrated the deep connection of the brothers extremely well in this. The way they can pull each other through it all, even the really dark times. It was certainly very emotional. You weren't kidding when you told me to have tissues handy, were you? lol Well, I used them. Quite a few times. ;) Fabulous work my friend! I can tell that you not only have a passion for writing, but also have the skill to take darkness and turn it into light with your story-telling abilities. So congrats on this story! And here's to many more. :D
P.S. Happy New Year! :)
| LilyBolt chapter 31 . 12/31/2013
Aww! It's so great to see so much improvement, for both men. I was so pleased with this fluffy chapter, you have no idea. The teasing and joking at the start were perfect, and Sam surprising Dean with sand which was fabulous. :D I really really liked that Sam was ok with going in public and being called out on his blindness too. He and Dean handled it very well. (Of course it helped that the people they met weren't rude idiots...Lol) Superb chapter! :D
| LilyBolt chapter 30 . 12/31/2013
Woohoo! About time Dean let anyone help him...And if anyone is perfect for the job, it's Sammy. They really are like each other's other halves, and they alone are most qualified to pull each other through serious mental traumas. It's terrible that Dean actually got attacked by Hellhounds again, and it proves even more how much he cares about his little brother, because he STILL let him keep Riot... But Sam is returning the favor in a way. It seems like they're both on the right track. ;) You're doing such an excellent job of showing the way these brothers look out for one another! :D
| LilyBolt chapter 29 . 12/31/2013
I wondered when Dean's time in Purgatory was really going to come up! How awful for Dean that he had to fight off Hellhounds again. And monster who took the form of Sam! Much as Dean would do anything to get back to his little brother, he would also loathe hurting anything that looked like him. I can see him doing it, but DEFINITELY not enjoying it, you know? And this vampire... This spells trouble! :0 (Or I guess it spelled trouble at the time Dean lived it. Lol Glad he's ok now.)
| LilyBolt chapter 28 . 12/31/2013
Hahahaha! Of course the first thing the dog would do would be crap in Baby... lol Much as I love Baby, I have to pat Riot on the back for that one. But also, I think it's really sweet that Sam defends Riot while simultaneously accepting that he would be willing to give his beloved new dog friend up if it meant sparing Dean the emotional trauma of constantly being reminded of Hellhounds. That being said, I'm really glad Dean is toughing it out for Sam's sake. Geez, these brothers just do anything and everything they can to sacrifice themselves for each other, don't they? lol You certainly captured that about them in this chapter, and you did it very well. :D I'm sorry to hear Sam had another nightmare, but it was great to see that, even with such an upsetting dream, this time he could think about it and feel like he was still improving. THAT alone is a huge step for Sam. Great chapter, again! :D I'm off to the urgent care now because I may have strep, but I'll totally be laid up in bed reading the rest of this on my iPhone later. ;)
| LilyBolt chapter 27 . 12/30/2013
Ok. So maybe I snuck one more chapter in before bed... lol I am really glad to see Sam gaining back some of his confidence. It has been subtle, but Sam has improved a lot since being rescued. Not just in the way he's come to terms more with his lack of vision, but also in the way he communicates and behaves. Dean is right, it IS great to see him laughing again. And joking. And bitch-face-ing and being stubborn...He's just clearly doing better and it's really nice. And it's obviously got a lot to do with how much Dean has helped him, but also because Sam is such a strong guy. :) Sam making Dean's bed was a great way for him to prove to Dean he is capable of doing some things on his own again. And it just serves to further demonstrate how far Sam has come. Great chapter! :D
P.S. Riot is adorable. ;)
