This was so awesome! My gosh, I was practically at the edge of my seat during my entire read. Twilight for me is something that I find really hard to find great fics for because I am very picky. It has to be written a certain way with certain nuances and I like reading stories that features characters that aren't always utilized by canon.

That said, the fact that this story heavily features BAMF Charlie is amazing! Love the backstory, the plot, the motivations behind the characters, the lore, etc. It was like you were taking the best part of the books and enhancing them to the point where I can say that this is the better vampire story.

All of the characters seem to be really fleshed out and interact in a way that is natural and consistent to their canon selves. What I find really interesting about the characters is that you made significant changes to Charlie, Edward, and Bella. With Bella and Edward, the changes are more obvious: they're aged up, they're both consenting adults that have experienced loss in their lives, and are close to their father figures. With Charlie, he was already a great character in canon, but I'm glad that you made him an expert in his field, a seeker of truth, and he strives to be a great father for Bella.

I'm glad that you've made these changes, alongside making Bella a competent professional who also appreciates art, Edward becoming an English gentleman who is interested in the humanities and the human mind, etc. There was a lot of love and care put into these characters and I'm glad that their shared interests allowed them to achieve a deeper connection that followed a natural progression.

The plot was great and well done. I like mysteries and I think you handled it pretty well. The inclusion of CSI elements and the Volturi made for an interesting antagonist, alongside the human Walsh and Charlie's own feelings against vampires.

Anyway, I wish I could say more, but I think everyone else had said it at some point.
