FREAKING FINALLY!
Danny is crying and he freaking deserves it. He’s been holding it back for a month and it’s all jumbled up and he’s taking everything personally and it will help if he just cried. Good big sister Jazz.
What a stressful month topped with a stressful day for him. Things changed without him even knowing and that’s just sad. He’s gotta mourn the time lost and let go of all the frustrations and fear building up.

Good chapter. Excited to see what happens next.

Dang, Danny’s return isn’t a happy one at all. Hardly a thriving environment. He just can’t catch a break.

Lol wow I completely forgot that Danny actually makes it home. I expect a tearful reunion sooner or later. Our boy has been through a lot.

Btw I like how you write Danny. In some other fics I’ve read he’s way more angry/moody, but here you balance his various moods well. He’s not mean and he’s not a downer, so he’s a genuinely likable character to read. Good job on that.

This chapter was as great as I remembered. Hugely chaotic and very different from the book. The minute Harry spoke up my stomach dropped. And Danny lighting up his hands? Gah what an idiot. The situation was barely salvageable but losing his temper like that makes it beyond saving.

Danny needs to know when to lie and when to tell the truth. I don’t know why Snape thinks it’s better to keep Danny’s family/friends a secret, but I personally think Danny should’ve told Dumbledore….

Ooh, it took over half the fic to get here: the goblet of fire. This is great I’m glad to reread what happens. It’s been so long I forgot.

Amos is not the guy you would ever want reiresenting you. He’s got no spine. The frustration of being forced to submit to an ignorant will is incredibly frustrating. I know it most through doctors in hospitals, who don’t listen and don’t diagnose. But at least there you can advocate for yourself and force them to pay attention when something is wrong. Here Danny can’t advocate for himself, he’s not allowed to. I’ve got a feeling if this fic had gone on longer he would’ve Eventually snapped

There’s no way Snape could know what a ‘half’s’ is, he just knows Danny doesn’t want him to know..

Also I wonder what motive Snape has for not telling Dumbledore. Is it because he wants to help Danny, or does Snape think that Dumbledore will use this information somehow? In what way?

Maybe Snape just wants Danny gone as soon as possible, and the less intrigue Danny holds to Dumbledore the sooner that can happen.

Snape really seems to be playing triple agent sometimes.

This chapter was great. Snape reading Danny’s mind was intense . All the things Danny doesn’t want to see was shown.

Also this chapter shows that Danny’s natural reaction is to lie, even when it’s not needed. Like he could’ve totally told Trelawny about his vision and it would’ve been fine

I don’t think it’s out of the question for Dumbledore to genuinely want good things for Danny, while also thinking of his own uses for him. It’s just human nature to do so.
Snape, meanwhile, is ultimately on the side of good in his own twisted way and so I wouldn’t be surprised if he sends innscurate reports to the ministry. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Dumbledore suggested to Snape that he try to teach Danny how to defend himself. Snape himself is wrapped around Dumbledore’s finger, I’m sure he hates the headmaster.

It’s a miracle no one else has spotted Danny yet.

Also heck yeah I am so excited for the new trioDanny friendship. This is gonna be fun

Also since I might not ever see the ending you had planned for this fic I propose my own ending: Shulker appears literally on any old normal day with a cry of triumph, not even bothering to be quiet, because he won the bet and he wants the whole world to know it. Danny is flabbergasted to see him, since it’s been nearly half a year and this is literally the last person he expected to see. Then the shock breaks way into joy cuz this is th first piece of home he’s seen in months and he almost doesn’t mind the fight that follows after. Eventually Danny convinced Skulker to point him to the nearest ghost zone portal, because Skulker ‘does not like hunting fenced prey.’ Danny flies through the ghozt zone to his parents’ basement and viola. He is home and it’s a happy ending.

Lol I know that’s too simple and silly of a solution for this fic, but for closure purposes it works for me,

This is the second time Hagrid stewed a long time in supposed anger before speaking to Danny and telling him how he’s really feeling. I think what Hagrid is doing is taking time to process his feelings and thoughts, trying to figure out what is really upsetting him before he speaks, so he doesn’t say something that he will regret or hurt the other person. It’s very wise on his part, but torture for Danny lol

Hermione, Harry, and Ron are even more relentless than Draco lol
