| Spyke1985 chapter 16 . 12/18/2013
Well, I must say, this has been an interesting journey!
Here I was, expecting some slightly modified game run-through; instead, you throw me for a complete loop and took me on a trip through a very fascinating AU! I am impressed.
I rather liked the story, the characters seemed in character for the most part. I wasn't exactly sure about Hawke at first, but that's probably just my own play style preferences colliding with this Hawke's personality.
Very interesting tale, all in all.

Great story. I really enjoyed it
| Adventfather chapter 16 . 11/14/2013
This was everything I expected, and more. I admit I was on the fence about how you all would approach characterizing the Arishok but it was done in a believable and in depth way that pleasantly surprised me. My only complaint is that it wasn't any longer!
Thanks for creating this, I really enjoyed myself reading your story.

You know, when I saw this story I was like " yeah right, the Arishok and Hawke, that can't be any good,it's TOO far-fetched". Then I decided to read it "just because", and more and more I fell into its pace and caught myself more than once saying "omg, really?! That's brilliant!". Then I put this story up on my facebook, linking to you guys, telling all my friends how well written it is, how canon the characters' feel and that it feels like its written 'realistically' - and by that I mean that it feels like Bioware themselves might just as well have written this! HUUUUUUUMONGOUS credit to you guys! I hope you will continue this 'Arishok saga'!
| Redglade chapter 3 . 9/11/2013
You've got the Saarabas and the Templar mages on one side, and you can't but wonder if their imprisonment isn't just a bit much. But on the other side you've got the Tevinter mages that prove that if give people power, the majority will misuse it. It's so damn conflicting.
| Redglade chapter 2 . 9/11/2013
Sneaky Arishok! I'm not sure that Hawke would appreciate finding out that the Arishok is considering how she might be most useful ( and that none of the uses involve her and that giant hulk of man in a more private setting). Seriously, I do like the Arishok's thought processes here. The Qunari have a purpose for everyone, and if he wasn't considering how to put her to use, if he right off the bat wanted to jump her, it wouldn't be realistic, and would detract from the story.
| Redglade chapter 1 . 9/11/2013
Oh, this is well-done, and an excellent starting point! And if Hawke wasn't thinking those exact same things in the game, then she is a silly, silly girl. I'd sop the Arishok up with a biscuit.
| Limadunia chapter 16 . 8/27/2013
Oh I loved this story, and I am actually said it is finshed. But I loved the end, it was perfect!
| Jaden Anderson chapter 16 . 8/20/2013
Awesome ending. Its nice to read something that isnt all doom and gloom. Both the Arishok and Hawke got what they wanted out of this.
Becoming tallis' mentor was a surprise, but certainly a good one. Those two will do well together I'm sure.
Quite a brilliant story, composed by three very talented authors. Often we see collaborations failing, falling to the wayside, whatever it may be but the dedication of the three of you was awe-inspiring. That you managed to pull this off with 3 very different voices is brilliant.
The qunari point of view was my favourite I'd have to say. Its something BW hasn't explored yet (or ever) and while I understand much of yours is what you believe it to represent, I still took great enjoyment in it.
Excellent work. It would be interesting to read a sequel. See what mischief tallis and hawke stumble into. What becomes of the Arishok and Hawke. Or even to see Fenris' story play out. The Fog warriors are certainly an interesting group as well. Esp with Danarius still on the loose.
Great job again.
| Eve Hawke chapter 15 . 8/3/2013
I did not see that coming. And I don't quite know how I managed to read the last chapter before this one!
Aveline is a special kind of difficult. Much as I like her, she's quite bullheaded. She'd die for her beliefs, I do know that. Excellent characterization. Well written, very much sucked me in. And a great last look before hat beautiful epilogue. :)
| Eve Hawke chapter 16 . 8/3/2013
A beautiful ending. :-)
Fenris was such a good friend to her, all the way to the end... it makes me sad to think that they might end up fighting each other one day, but to know they parted as friends means much. Those two weeks on the ship were no doubt very precious to them.
I loved loved loved the descriptions of Par Vollen. I couldn't help but imagine Sten recalling this place as his home, and missing it, as he traveled with the Wardens during the Blight. It filled in a vital piece of his history for me. :-D
I liked the Arishok's thoughts about Hawke... so he was altered by their interactions, as well. And that's good enough for me! :-D
This was a fantastic story from the very beginning. True fanfiction, taking aspects of the world we know and love and turning them on their heads to explore new outcomes, new paths, new possibilities. And the talent the three of you have displayed here is wonderful. It was such a privilege to read, and I know countless future readers will love it just as much as I have.
Thank you for sharing this with us. :-D
| LeanoraPascault chapter 16 . 7/27/2013
This was a story that took me down the road of which I was never given the choice to travel. I wondered what it would have been like to convert to the Qun side and you all have put most of it to words ! Thank you for the ride!
| HikariYagami22 chapter 16 . 7/26/2013
The prospect of her new life in Par Vollen seems faaaar better than she'd expected, huh?
I'm so happy for her! Not only she was accepted, but also got a fine title, huh? It suits her well :3
Not to mention Arishok's new role. Hehe, his reaction at the end was so cute. I know it's all about honor and duty to him, but his relationship with Hawke was a real pleasure to read.
What did you meant by the last phrase? See, english is not my main language, so there's some things that are hard for me to understand. I hope you don't mind with the question '-' (or with the grammar...)
Thanks for sharing such wonderful story! The flow was amazing, and the conclusion was perfect. Well done!
| EkoCentric chapter 16 . 7/21/2013
Brilliant! Such a lovely ending, it's perfect. I literally love everything in this chapter; Hawke's and Fenris' conversation, Tallis, the Par Vollen's scenario, the way the story ends etc.
And yes, it's been a very interesting journey. You guys have done something that nearly impossible and done it so wonderfully.
| clafount chapter 16 . 7/20/2013
And so Hawke's journey is complete. Thanks to all of you for a terrific and fascinating tale!
