"Yes, he did. They won. So how can they be here?
""Everyone dies, Rue. Everyone.""
Which means it's set in a time after Katniss and Peeta died of old age or whatever. Which means the rest of Rue's family could be there, and billions of people who died before Rue was born.
Rue could, like, avoid Marvel by vanishing into a crowd of other people like her ancestors...

Wow. This is just really weird, but I love it.
| RueThisDay chapter 1 . 9/2/2013
This is very similar to After Ever After... But that's good. I like it.
Rue! It's me! ;D
That last line... Powerful. So powerful.
I love it. :D

Your portrayal of Rue after death was haunting... even Marvel was very eerie. I like the theme, a lot, and the broken-up-ness of the story helps keep it in place. You start feeling like Rue should be happy that Katniss and Peeta won, and then they show up, too, since "everyone dies". Too true. And I especially like the playground scene, for some reason.
