momo2024 chapter 2 . 4/26/2024 Eric解锁了了杀手&音乐家之外的新角色… |
JuiceBeetle chapter 35 . 5/22/2023 Did I just stay up all night binge reading this entire thing? Omg yes. I honestly don't care for shadow government types of fics but I kept seeing it pop up in my search and figured I'd give it a shot. Omg wow. It's so good. Literally one of my favorite fics on this site. I'm glad there's some little ones left :') |
Guest chapter 1 . 2/14/2023 I have so many things to say 1- I can’t believe this story is 10 YEARS OLD. I read this when it was periodically being updated. I wanna throw up. 2- I was reminded of this fic bc of a TikTok I saw yesterday, about project blue beam. Basically the government wants to make a single religion for all…. Like a cult. And use very high technology to make everyone scared of the end of times. Seriously this fic just resonated 3- I forgot my password but I’m the person that asked if you would consider uploading all your work to ao3, seriously, I highly recommend it. You’d get hundreds of new readers and even be able to promote your watt pad story 4- if project blue beam becomes true, I’m blaming this fic (not really) but I should re read soon. 5- ily |
Herline-Hedervary chapter 41 . 5/28/2022 All of this was great! |
Maxypuz chapter 35 . 12/21/2021 I loved this story. From Christine's character growth to Erik's change into trying to be the martyr for her. You write everything beautifully and I feel like i am in the story. I can see the rundown cities and Eriks opulent home. In every form, this story is perfect. The technological progress, Erik's past, Christine's past, Raoul's relationship with those around him. The love story between Erik and Christine was heart wrenching when he decided that he needed to turn himself in to free Christine or when he was willing to die for her. Christines slow, gradual acceptance that she cared and then loved Erik was infuriating but i screamed when she finally accepted it. It was a beautiful story with a soft and open ending. Thank you. |
untilthen01 chapter 40 . 12/18/2021 it's... beautiful. so beautiful oh my goodness. I love it very much. thank you. |
Isolated-AngelofDoom chapter 16 . 10/28/2021 My heart literally broke to pieces at Erik's life story. Oh lord please help him, please give him something, anything, that is not tainted in darkness, and that can strive through the despair of his haunting past. |
ElenaVitW chapter 41 . 6/8/2021 I was not sure when I started, some futuristic future and etc. But I LOVED it. I am happy it is published so I can actually buy this one |
Baruga chapter 11 . 5/5/2021 I haven't really read that much "new" fanfiction (I know I'm saying that about something from 2013) in half a decadeI mostly just reread stuff I found 4-7 years ago, though over the last year I read through some stories of authors I really liked that I had previously skipped over for one reason or another. I'm really glad I went back through those stories I skipped over before, if for no other reason than I read this one. I went to reread it right after finishing it, and I ordered the book version on Amazon so I could read it a 3rd time, haha. I cannot overstate my joy at reading this. I think mostly because it just hits just about every trope or commonality in PotO fanfiction that I *really* like (dark tone, a forced marriage that doesn't immediately dissolve, Erik having cultivated omniscience, a few other things that don't immediately jump to my mind) and has a few elements non-specific to PotO that I also greatly enjoy (mostly the cult stuff) The writingcharacters are, as always, superb. Christine's development over the course of the story was really well done, and it was great to see how she chipped away at Erik. Cameron's interactions with Erik were wonderful to read, and it was great to see how they changed over the course of the storyfluctuated in tone depending on the topic of conversation. I'm not sure if this was intentional or I misread something, but it seemed like Erik kept having more responsibilities pushed on him later, even outside of that expectation Cameron grew that Erik would stick aroundhelp govern the new country. The redemption arc in this for Erik was really interesting, with him broadcasting everything he had done for the world, rather than just securing Christine's safetyfreedom if she so desired it. The engineered crash of the USAhow other countries reacted to it was also fascinating, and I absolutely adored Erik's perspective on it during the last vignette |
Qtkittee chapter 41 . 3/21/2021 This was a delight to read for the twisted emotional journey. I will find your book on Amazon now. That's so exciting. I am following Chipped. And I looked to see what else you had written. I think I have been a fan of your for many years now as I recall the other stories you have written. I am not sure why I did not read this one. I have enjoyed this story and your well developed characters. I really wanted her with Raoul but the you were able to flip it so I was EC again. The plot was so unique but so familar in its homage to Phantom. I am a sci-fi fan in addition to a Phantom fan. I loved how you allowed Christine to grow up while Erik figured out how to care for people beyond her. Their conversations were enthralling. I also enjoyed all the fluff in the epilogues. I look forward to more of your writing. Thank you for writing this. |
muguetmuse chapter 17 . 8/19/2020 THIS FIC IS SO CRAZZYYYYY THE STAKES AND TENSION ARE TOO HIGH IM CONSTANTLY WHISPERING TO MYSELF HOW SCARED I AM OF THE NEXT EVENTS AND I ALWAYS MANIFEST SOMETHING BAD HAPPENING BC OFC THIS FIC EXISTS TO HANG ME IN SUSPENSE AND ANXIETY |
rscoil chapter 35 . 7/5/2020 She really has developed into a strong and capable Christine. It was a joy to follow her journey. |
rscoil chapter 23 . 7/4/2020 Erik is such an unpredictable wild card in this one. Reminds me a lot of Leroux! It's cool to see that sort of Erik in an AU context. |
rscoil chapter 19 . 7/4/2020 The virtual Christine is a brilliantly creepy addition. |
rscoil chapter 8 . 7/4/2020 You capture her sense of unease really well! |
