Finally somebody noticed that Crucio is far from the most scary spell for Voldemort to use.

Also, it is quite hilarious to see Voldemort talk with full conviction about topic where he is less competent than he thinks (Tolkien).

BTW, I hope that his opinion about Tolkien and relation to magical world is megalomania, not based on facts.

WOW. i just read this straight from beginning to end and im completely blown away. That plot! That excitement! The depth of the characters! You are my hero of the day.

Wow, this was really intense. As a personal preference, I would have liked to instead have seen Hermione agree to become a Death Eater and for there to have been many chapters more on her gradual descent into villainy as she became the right hand man of the younger Lord Voldemort - and for there to have been an established Tomione pairing. This story certainly has the right base work for it. But Hermione overcoming him was a nice salute to her as a character, even if I did find the ending to be a let down for sticking so rigidly to the blueprints of their canon personalities.

It was probably intentional on your part or maybe you had other reasons for ending this where you did but I think that this fic feels really incomplete. There was also an almost headache inducing overabundance of speech and an oddly distressing lack of description. Granted, all they were doing was having a conversation for the most part but I think it might have cushioned the heavy barrage of lines more if there had been a bit more variation to what we were reading.

Either way, this was a brilliant read. It was intellectually engaging to a point where I had to reread a few parts over a couple of times so as to properly grasp what they were saying and you played up Hermione's intelligence in a way that is very much to my liking. I enjoy stories where Tom scorns his older self's flaws and it was the part I probably enjoyed the most, for while I am immensely entertained by Harry Potter, I find J.K. Rowling to be a poor writer with a penchant for executing linear portrayals of excellent characters which I feel a fan demonstration of superior Tom over Voldemort mocks quite nicely. I only feel that this has a lot of wasted potential for a longer story what with being complete and having ended on the note that it did, but I suppose some of the best fiction is supposed to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed as this has certainly left me with a great feeling of unrest.

Thank you for portraying Hermione as strong enough to escape Riddle on her own! I honestly feel like most stories where Tom Riddle comes back and captures Hermione show her as putting up too weak of a fight. I really love how she's able to completely turn the tables on him and tie him up!
