Red Sting chapter 41 . 11/27 Though I'm not sure he would have actually killed himself so that the girl could go home if that's what it came down to I like Marcel. He stands out for, like Peeta, holding onto ideals in the Hunger Games arena; I also like the description of this arena and the unexpected brutality he then displays in overpowering the 2 Careers simultaneously. Its thought provoking in a way, on the amount of ideals one could hold onto in the arena. So for that, I rather like this chapter. Its very re readable. |
Red Sting chapter 28 . 11/27 I really liked this girl as a character-as a person ambigous. I think this was a great display of how fractures can appear in the Career alliance easily based on how arrogant they are-I mean they do all think they'll beat the other five in the end lol-and it was written tensely with good description. Velvet is both cunning and a capable combatant too. You said in one of the other stories that you imagine Ruby is very involved in training the Career trainees in District 1's Academy; I agree but think Ruby likely was as well. So, good job! |
Red Sting chapter 15 . 11/27 This is one of my favourite chapters of the story, probably top five, despite the dark subject matter. With only a few sentences and apt vivid description you told us so much about how the Career alliance will unfold and gave strong world building to District 2 on the personal level too. You made Cicero a very dark character without us forgetting he was human; indeed it's because of the motivations-longing for recognition and respect-that he did these things; such very human reasons. You did an excellent job here. |
Red Sting chapter 69 . 9/5/2023 What an interesting chapter. I feel like Bronze could go either direction after these Games in terms of full on joining the rebellion or in trying to be the coolest, baddest Career victor [but still different from the likes of Brutus or Amadeus] that there's ever been. I love his ability to reflect deeply on his life and what's lead up to it and the versatility of skills he's shown. He...he's left quite an impact on me. I will re read this chapter again a few times in the future. On a lighter note I imagine Sheen was extremely glad to finally have another D1 male victor with Gloss and then to have another 2 join just a few years later must have been excellent indeed. |
CitronGamer chapter 52 . 3/30/2022 52 and 54 are my fav games |
WizMonCruWil chapter 1 . 6/9/2021 This was an interesting start. But if I might be constructive, where Oisin55's The Victors' Project has it all over yours is an understanding that the traditions of The Hunger Games would have evolved overtime, in almost every aspect, from the genesis of the Careers to how sponsor gifts were sent, even how the arenas were constructed and designed. Plus, considering this is the inaugural event, it seems just a little unrealistic that the very first tributes would have known exactly what to do once the gong sounded. CragmiteBlaster's Cheating Death makes the very first kill in the Games ever happen as an accident, prompting a Lord of the Flies free-for-all. I just think we shouldn't expect the very first Games to in any way resemble how they are conducted by the time we reach the events of the original story, 73 years later. By the way, you reached 600 reviews on September 28th, 2013. Congrats for hitting 700 reviews on June 9th, 2021! |
hungergamesfan8197 chapter 100 . 5/28/2020 absolutely awesome. No words. |
Tom chapter 73 . 5/11/2020 In the Hunger Games movie, the arena consists of crumbling buildings and the winner is a male. As seen in clips being watched of the 'previous' hunger games. Sorry to be this guy, but I want to make sure you know, thanks! |
Red Thorn chapter 100 . 1/8/2020 Wow. That was...interesting. Emotional near the end. Over all, very well rounded out. The thing that stands out to me, though, is that 4 is the district with the most victors...17, while District 2's got 'only' 15. Interesting alright. Well done. |
xx deactivated account xx chapter 64 . 6/21/2018 Gloss was 17 when he won and Cashmere was 18, they're twins. Also, Gloss won the 63rd games before Cashmere and Cashmere won the 64th. |
Allie chapter 11 . 1/5/2018 I know you finished this story a long time ago, but one thing bugs me so much... Effie did not send Peeta tapes of Games from before the 25th games, because all the victors from then were dead. Therefore, Mags would not have participated in the 11th Games. Still a great piece of work! |
Guest chapter 74 . 7/26/2017 When I read: Sextus I almost choked on my laughter |
IVolunteerAsAuthor chapter 100 . 5/21/2016 This was brilliant. You're an excellent writer man. I'm really really impressed. |
Paul chapter 83 . 3/10/2016 Very moving chapter. I'm kind of proud of Holly. |
Confuzled man chapter 7 . 2/28/2016 I thought no-one in district 12 had won until Haymitch. I might be wrong but... |
