Aw, you people just flatter the heck out of me. :oD

I love writing Fanfic Lounge stories, but they're a heck of a lot of work. This one took me about six months, because I refused to write in the POV of Legolas without at least a hope of doing him justice. And emulating Tolkien is a lot harder than it looks! But I'm a better writer because of it, and I have to say that Legolas is a genuine pleasure to work with. I watched FOTR not long after finishing this, and where I was simply impressed at Legolas before I was thinking "Woo! That's ma boy!" this time around.

Anyhoo, I do have another story in the works, and I hope to have it out by the time TTT hits theatres. Get this: it won't be a parody! Yes, I am making the nerve wracking leap to "serious" LOTR fanfiction - although it will be short, at least compared to L&E, and lighthearted. Being eager to explore the hobbits myself, the next story will be about Pippin Took, his young son Faramir, and six-year-old Goldilocks Gamgee. Already my mental picture of a little golden-haired hobbit girlie is giving me warm fuzzies like nothing else, so I'll probably get started on this story rather soon.

Thanks again for all your kind reviews. I waited for them as eagerly as you waited for new chapters.

And Finrod the Urple melts like Play-do on a hot day, Legolas miraculously evades the sour lemon, and gets some good old hard elven liquor intto his system. All is well. -Wait, there's an epilogue? Gotta go!

Ai Valar! Enoreth is an idiot, the Guide is supremely annoying, and Legolas is as brilliant as the rest of this fic. And all hail whichever passing Maia it was that gave him clarity.

She refers to her dead stepfather as the Wood Elf King I thought that title was given to Thranduil...

And Finrod the Urple is ummm...strangely stereotypical.

I think I'm going to make like Fëanor and swear an Oath to hunt down and kill any and all authors who have a Sue in their possesion. (I wouldn't change places with Legolas even if they gave me Maedhros.)

I wonder if the characters have to go through this every time they get pulled into a bad fic?

And worse, the Forces just mangled Merry's line and gave it to Frodo!
