A very satisfying read.

Aww, I absolutely adore this story! The plot was captivating and full of emotions, the characters were complex and well portrayed, and everything was beautifully written. It was great to observe how Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam were slowly learning to communicate and understand each other better.

I also liked the fact that, though it was clear that Elizabeth started to harbour some feelings for Mr. Darcy, she honestly said that they were not as strong as his (yet). I found this approach much more realistic and consistent with the character; I think that most people need more time for their budding infatuation to bloom into full love. I also deeply enjoyed the quotes from the book and the perfect depiction of the Regency era’s customs.

I also liked the comparison between the marriages of the Gardiners and the Bennets. Mrs. Bennet is a comedic character, but I always felt sorry for her; it was sad that her own husband didn’t fully value her. Unions based on affection and mutual admiration/respect weren’t common in those times, so I appreciate that this issue was addressed in this fic – first by Mr. Darcy and now by Elizabeth.

Ha ha, the quarrel about emptying the chamber pot was hilarious. XD Mr. Darcy is always such a gentleman!
His attempts at pleasant conversation were so cute! What a pity that they were misunderstood. I’m glad that Elizabeth later realised her own mistakes and went to help him.

Wow, what an amazing beginning! I could really feel Elizabeth’s emotions. I love how she and Mr. Darcy are written – they are just as I imagined them while reading the book!

As a Christian, I also liked the reference to God. Ha ha, it seems that Elizabeth’s prayers were answered, but not exactly in the way she wanted! :D

I squealed with joy when Mr. Darcy used her name! Their conversation about his unusual skills and adventures in Scotland was adorable. It’s a shame that the warm atmosphere was soon ruined by another misunderstanding. Overcoming their pride and prejudices doesn’t come easily to them, but I’m glad they are trying. :)

Anyway, they have no other choice but to stay together in a decrepit cabin. Unchaperoned. How scandalous! XD I’m incredibly excited to read more!

What a great story! I loved the way they started their entrapment and how things changed. Enjoyed reading E's thoughts and seeing the intrigue. Mr Darcy is quite something. Really sweet ending. I loved E's impertinence right down to the end!
