This story is both wonderful and amazing. It is both each and every time I read it. Your is a marvelous talent I truly hope to see more of. Are you published anywhere? I would read you to enjoy your excellent wordsmithing.

I learned much from this story, least of all that I know practically nothing about Arthurian Legends. It was so nice to read something that I had no idea where it was going!

Would love to see a sequel. There's more story for this tell I think.

I feel like a terrible person now - I always review your stuff as soon as I've read it, but for some reason I've been lax lately.
Anyhow, you've done it again. I don't like cross-overs, but this, this I LOVED! Now I like Merlin, even if shipping the two has never been interesting to me (I don't mind, either, though), and this worked so well it's almost a little spooky. As always, I love your Ianto, and all your descriptions, characterizations and interactions were spot on!
One tiny little thing, though: I sometimes have concentration issues, and that made the very first, slightly Disney bit a little hard to struggle through; a little too much description and too many birds (although, as someone who likes to learn new things, that did expand my vocabulary considerably). I also have a short list of typos, but I can pm you that, if you want it.
Anyway, a truly beautiful fairytale, and if you write more Merlin/Torchwood cross-overs, you won't hear me complain!

love to see more in this universe

Wow, this fic blew me away. I've loved Arthurian legend since I first started visiting the public library when I was little. And while I know that there's tons of stuff out there related in some manner or another to it, it always makes me happy when I run across something new that's based on the literature and mythology, rather than just a movie or TV show. You did a wonderful job on this, and I can only hope that there's more where this came from, either another chapter or a sequel. But if you enjoy the Arthurian legends a lot, I've a recommendation for you: Stephen Lawhead's "Avalon" is an absolutely brilliant novel about a modern return of the Once and Future King. It's excellent!

Have I ever told you how much I adore every Torchwood fic you ever write ever? Because I do. Very Much. And you made a crossover with Merlin too, and there's the slightest insuation of Merthur! I'm afraid I don't quite know the legend involving Ianto's character, but the story was beautiful. Your writing is truly marvelous, thank you so much for writing this.
| CrayonsPink chapter 1 . 3/9/2013
This was fantastic! A truly magnificent blend of Merlin and Torchwood, and I really enjoyed the Arthurian legends also mixed it. Great job; I truly enjoyed reading!
| Duo-chan Maxwell chapter 1 . 3/9/2013
Did I ever tell you you're awesome? This is fantastic. And THIS "(Ianto knows this from experience; this time last Tuesday, he switched places with a version of himself from an alternate reality, and had to spend six hours as the Chief Engineer of a clockwork-powered airship hunting down sky pirates over Wales, all while fending off the advances of a Captain Jack Harkness who was even more randy than the normal version. Ianto will never look at his stopwatch the same way again.)" is just begging to be written. :D

Stunning! I'm pretty much speechless, but that hasn't stopped me before. That was meticulously done, and is marvelous. Thank you!

Okay, here we go.
Firstly, you are one of my favorite authors. I think your writing is brilliant, but I don't often know what to say, so I rarely leave reviews. I am an author myself, and for myself, am not too concerned when readers don't leave them but I can understand your desire for feedback and acknowledgement.
Secondly, I don't watch much TV and have never seen "Merlin" but you make me extremely curious about it.
Thirdly, I'm glad to see you trying to write longer things (VERY happy since I love your writing), and I hope you'll continue with the trend, but I also know it's hard when the plot bunnies don't help you.
And finally, this story was awesome! :) Wonderful use of severla different legends! And very well combined as well. But I do find it interesting that so many animals would be friendly with a hunter. Birds I can understand, especially hunting birds like falcons and hawks. But animals in general? Hmmm. But you made it work, so that isn't really a complaint just an observation.
Thanks for the great story!
