Nice work mate. I also love the three stooges, especially the Moe-Larry-Curly/Shemp episodes.

Awesome! Love The Three Stooges! Moe is fuuny! Hope you post more! :)
| TL Chasse chapter 1 . 4/13/2014
hey friend :) - I thought I'd pop on over and see what the stooges are up to. This was great slapstick - just like your GI talent, it was like watching an episode - very easy to visualize everything.
I lol'd when Moe said "Now quit enjoyin' yourselves and get down to business" - hahahahha - I'm sure they were enjoying getting slapped all over the place - LOL
It has been a long time since I have watched Moe, Larry and Curly (and Shemp and Joe) ;) - but this brought back some great childhood memories.

I am so happy you've taken on the Stooges! I cut my teeth on them right along with Gilligan and the gang, so this is a double treat to see you taking on the both of them.
Your talent for great and complementary titles extends to yet another fandom, I love all three you've done so far!
I'm just shaking my head and grinning at the classic back and forth banter. I loved the "Somebody, Nobody" exchange!
Larry WOULD pick up the monkey wrench! Lol at Moe slyly and "daintily" plucking it out of his hand, it's such a Moe-like thing to do.
- Moe help up two fingers. "See these?"
"No," said Curly, knowing full well what to expect." - Love Curly's sass, he finally caught on to that trick!
Let's also not forget his epic meltdowns! XD
And so the domino effect of Stooge disaster begins. Plumbing has especially never been their forte.
Moe and his unsuccesssful compliments about Mrs. Leadbetter's grandfather had me cracking up.
Curly can always be counted on for such optimism. - "Yeah, we built you a shower," Curly grinned. He turned to Larry, who grinned back at him. "Nyuk, nyuk nyuk." -
Very wise to uh, eh..."retire" from plumbing. Baking it is! Oh boy.
- "Yeah!" Curly agreed, enthusiastically. "That way, we'll always be in the dough!"- If I could only pinch Curly's cheeks!
A fabulous first step into the world that is the Stooges!

Hilarious! You really captured the essence of Three Stooges. I was cracking up! Good job.
| TailsLovesCosmo chapter 1 . 12/30/2013
Good job. Only two complaints: macaroni and cheese sounds much too modern for these knuckleheads to be talking about, and the story is too short. We should have seen them being hired and watched them break a few more things before they got thrown out.
| rata2 chapter 1 . 4/17/2013
I just loved this story!
| Cristy W-S chapter 1 . 3/12/2013
Teebs! I got an email alert in my box that you had posted a story here! Cool! :)
I had to go watch a couple of Stooges shorts on YouTube to refresh my memory, and I have to say you've really captured their brand of comedy! This was *so* freakin' fun to read!
Of course you know this job is going to end like all the others, but the magic is in seeing just how things disintegrate into the chaos of classic slapstick, screwball comedy. The pipe through the wall, water spraying everywhere, Mrs Ledbetter looking like a drowned rat - aww, that's The Three Stooges right there! Lololol! :D
And the dialogue was awesome! Fast-paced, archetypal 'shaddups', 'nyuks',and 'nyeeehs', one-liners flying around like ping-pong balls - it was great! Wonderful sound effects, too! Hollow coconuts, and Curley's trademark 'ruff!' Sweet!
Loved this line: "Say, if I'm nobody then it couldn't have been me...'cause Nobody's Poifect!" He grinned in triumph. "Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk." Had me lol'ing - could just hear him saying that!
And there they go, optimists to the end, choosing yet another venture which I can just imagine will end with flour flying round the kitchen and masses of dough oozing out of the oven. Gotta love the boys!
Once again, your talent for writing shines through - thanks for the laugh! :D
| Louise Hargadon chapter 1 . 3/11/2013
"Plumbing is for drips anyway."
Honest to God you have NO idea how hard I laughed at that. None. Unless you heard me.
I think slapstick is a really difficult thing to write because it's so visual and sometimes the words don't run fast enough for your imagination to see it properly - but as always you did a flippin' brilliant job. I loved the sound effects of the coconuts knocking together and the cracks of the nose as it was twisted, it was just brilliant.
I could practically hear poor enraged Mrs Leadbetter freaking out over her poor Italian shoes being ruined, and I giggled like a loon at "Sure eggs are eggs, what do you expect them to be? Macaroni cheese?" This was just SO funny.
I'm not overly familiar with the Stooges' work, I've seen a few YouTube videos and I'm pretty sure I've seen the tail end of one or other of their films - but you really made me feel like I was totally in on all the jokes anyway, which is a very rare talent.
Besides, as you know, there are a couple of other fandoms I had no idea about until I read your stories and now look at me...!
Another sterling job, mon ammy. And hooray for the fact you've found your typing fingers again!
Yours in nyuk nyuk nyuking (something done by a Russian weapons manufacturer with a stammer?!)

Teobi, this is fantastic!
I'll be honest, I'm only vaguely familiar with the Three Stooges (I know, I haven't lived), and I didn't think I'd be able to give a meaningful review on a story in this fandom. But you've written it so well and I found it easy to jump straight in and instantly connect with the characters. I was grinning from ear to ear and chuckling throughout. Slapstick at its finest - without a doubt. I'm definitely gonna have to look up more on these guys. :D
Thank you for a wonderfully humorous and unforgettable story. I loved it.
