This was such a fantastic story with so many ups and downs. I loved every second of my journey through it and will be favouriting it so I can enjoy it again and again.

You've probably seen plenty of reviews like this already but I'm going to add my two cents anyway. I only recently picked up watching Pokemon again, and admittedly I don't read a lot of fanfiction - I just stick to one-shots whatever ship I really want closure for at a given time. But I struggled to find anything that really satisfied me, so I decided to try this one out after I saw it had the most faves in the fandom. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. I have spent any spare moment I could get over the last three days reading this fic. I've lost sleep staying up to read it. It's made me laugh, it's made me cry, it's got me STRESSED OUT, and before I was even done with it I recommended it to at least five people. The ending was so satisfying I don't think I need to read anything else for the next few days. (Except maybe the sequel but I understand you haven't finished that yet and I'm scared of what the wait is going to do to my heart.) I was reading Gone Girl just before I started this fic, and I can confidently say that THIS IS BETTER THAN GONE GIRL.
Have you considered writing a novel? I can understand why a fanfic like this wouldn't get a book deal because it's not easy to translate into an original work since so much of it relies on the Pokemon universe ... but you're obviously an incredible writer. I think you should really go for it :)

It took me a minute to realize that calling Barry Brian wasn't a typo and was just Alder being Alder. xD

I also love the way you portray all of the little cliques within Ash's friend circle. The interactions are very believable. Which is impressive for having so many characters. I'm kind of surprised that Zoey and Cilan ended up going, perhaps that's just me though.

It would have been a convenient time to chop off a number of characters you have to deal with haha.

I dunno why, but the part where Dawn said "Even the kid with ADHD picked up on it" made me crack up laughing. Perhpps the best part is since it was Dawn, someone who grew up in the same town as him, we know that she is dead serious about that.

OMG I love your story on how Cynthia became champion! It seems so fitting.

So, I forget the timeline of when the Unova episodes were aired.. Was this written before the episodes where Bianca's dad almost forced her to come home?

Then again, if Bianca could be a target, then so could the kid from all the way back in Kanto who saved Ash's life and took a picture of Arcticuno... I forget his name... But he also traveled with Ash for a while.

I love how the officer guy said, "As though they wanted us to just handcuff them and arrest them!" and then Officer Jenny says, "Did you?" and he's just like, "Uhh..."

Lu, you are amazing. The way that you manage to handle all these characters, and how they all have essential roles that drive the story forward... it's astounding. I hope you write forever, and one day get a non-fanfiction book published, because you could make millions off of that, and never have to work again, and spend your whole life writing more books and fanfictions, and if you do have a book published, I want to read it, because you are magnificent, and you know what? You should contact the Pokemon company and ask them for permission to publish Pokemon stories. ALL THE POKEMON STORIIIIIIEEEEESSSS! :D

Anyway... BOOOOOOOOOOOM IT'S SILVER! My favorite thing about Silver is how dynamic he is from the beginning of the Gold and Silver manga to the end of it. I really like how you portray him here, too, and though he doesn't do a complete 180, I really love how he changes throughout TAC and TAC II.

Although I'm awfully mad at him for what he did in the latest TAC II chapter... because NO. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE GARY IS DEAD. I JUST KNOW SILVER IS BEING A TROLL! And he's trying to manipulate Leaf, isn't he? Isn't he?!
