| Carrie M chapter 2 . 2/12/2014
Hello, this is Carrie from Facebook. I really appreciated your fanfic! I have, however, some 'suggestions' to you: 1) Avoid contemporary references. Sense and Sensibility belongs to our world, more precisely the XIX Century. I may be hugely mistaken but to my eyes, Fairy Tale Land is a place strongly inspired in the Europpean Middle Age, so I consider it would be more appropriate to exchange the novel Belle is reading to some King Arthur's Knights tales or something like that, as much as avoiding expressions such as 'giddy as a schoolgirl' no matter how easy we are to relate to! 2)Rumplestilstkin is much the 'Oldschool' kind of gentleman, so I doubt he would refer to being thrown over a bed in the middle of a childish play. He could very much think it, but would not say it aloud. Also, the Dark One Curse keeps him immortal and healthy, that means, his leg would not kill him later for carrying Belle up in the stairs (though it certainly would if he has in his Gold appearence - Mr. Gold cannot run, let alone endeavour any physical effort, as he remarks to Emma in more than one occasion). 3) As you shrewdly noted, there is the rank issue as well as the power imbalance. You have Belle being a noblewoman and, on the other hand, you have Rumple having all possible power over her. I beleive that would also retrieve both Belle and Rumple being easily able to speak aloud their desires to become intimate, as natural and mutual as the feeling is. Perhaps a remarkable event would bring them closer before the sexual acquaintance? Like Belle injuring herself and Rumple having to nurse and heal her or maybe someone attempting to cause him harm and she preventing it (and being rewarded with a very passionate gratitute speech)? Just an idea! Keep writing, gal! Love

It is very very good, I loved it. It made me think a lot less of mine, I knew I am not a great writer anyway but that was just great.

Oh dear. I should have been expecting this, I suppose from the other story. But it doesn't make it any less sad.
I really like how you've adapted things to fit with your story. Good job all around.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more from this AU. Hopefully soon!

Yeah, I kinda figured he'd be like this when she left to get breakfast. Oh dear.
He's such an idiot. At least Belle's determined to fix that. She needs to.
I like the necklace. It sounds beautiful. :)
Oh dear. "not be exactly what you think" scares me. A lot. Uh oh... I hope it's nice! :)

"An empty chair at an empty table. And tears and an empty bed." I like how this hints of the empty heart and chipped cup line from the show. Nice. :)
I love it. Rumpelstiltskin/Belle fluff and kisses make me happy. Excellent job. It was all natural and read well. Amazing. :)

Yes, that song does fit. Love it so much. Even if I can't sing the top note at the end so it annoys me. But it's an excellent title.
"a girl called Alice Carstairs" Okay... just have to ask here if you've read The Infernal Devices... :)
"She found him strangely . . . endearing, the way a grumpy cat is endearing, especially when he curls up in your lap and begins to purr." That is so perfect. I can't believe it. It's exactly what he's like sometimes! :)
I like it. Really great especially with the flirting and kiss there at the end. Really, really like it.
