*quietly sobbing already* This is so devastating - Caro how did you even manage to write this without breaking down? My heart hurts, for what they all went through, Kate and Castle and Alexis; I can't even be upset with Kate for leaving even with the evidence of how much it broke all of them because such grief, it's just irrational like that.

Only the first chapter and already I'm weepy from the devastating sadness. Your writing is so good and spot on, the grief so tangible that I'm sucked in already and yet I don't know if I'll be able to handle what's to come.

Okay, I have this massive, massive TBR list, and this was on it, so I thought I would read a chapter or two, and then I accidentally read the whole thing at once. So I basically spent the afternoon reading and crying. This is so sad, and so lovely, and in the end so hopeful about the love and healing that can come out of horrible tragedy. I really enjoyed it, even if I did go through a box of tissues.:)

I have to admit that I didn't want to read this...I have three boys myself and usually steer clear of child death stories bc that is my most horrible nightmare. But I am so glad that I stuck with this story! It was so, so good, and I bawled the last few chapters in the best possible way. Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing!
