I'll have to apologise in advance for this review because my head is currently fuzzed with the inordinate amount of snot I seem to possess.
That said, I'll get onto the stuff that really matters: I liked this chapter, not neccessarily just because it was a good chapter (though it was) but also because it's finally here after four months (and yes, I forgive you again) and you've made my cold-riddled day a whole lot better - The only problem I have with your updates taking so long is that I can never remember what's just happened and have to go back and read the chapter before (not that that's really such a bad thing).
Poor Neville, he does have it rather rough doesn't he? I like that you're turning him into a real character rather than just a side-kick. I also liked Protective!Fawkes. This training thing should be interested (even if there are a ton of fics where Harry gets trained, though none having a phoenix train him spring to mind...)
I can imagine it must be pretty cool to know there are people all over the world reading your fic! Maybe it'll be a bit of incentive to move a little quicker next time?
Ah well, sorry for the incoherency and general uselessness of this review. I'm off to drug myself up to the eyeballs with aspirin.

Great chapter, nicely done. Poor Harry though, he still hasn't gotten any sleep and McGonable interrupted his dinner. That kid sounds like he's going to collapse.

I had kind of forgotten a bit what this one was all about, though I'd joined your yahoo group so I knew I must have really liked it. I re-read the last chapter to refesh me. I like that Snape at least is human sometimes. I really liked his inner voice giving him a hard time over being harsh about Harry's dead parents.

I don't think I've ever seen Harry-as-phoenix approached quite this way before - no, I know I haven't. But it's -wonderful-. I adore it. And I beg you for more. I'm on my knees! See me begging?

very good, poor harry was suffering a lot in this story, specially at the beginning wasn't he? what with the scar opening again and again and getting the cruciatus curse on him over and over during the visions. the last chapter was good as well although hopefully it was a vision of neville's parents dying rather than the actual event. update very soon as i can't wait to find out what will happen.

Poor Harry seems headed for a breakdown. That kid bottles up so much it's a wonder he hasn't developed an ulcer! I don't want Harry to die, so I'm reading cautiously but I'd like to continue if you plan to?
