Uh, Bruce, I think you're going to be speaking a bit too soon. Dick doesn't know you much and that makes him see you and Alfred as strangers, not just every people in Gotham. Because of that, he'll have trust issues, won't be very talkative, trouble sleeping, and may even not eat much...
So, once you bring him to the Manor, you and Alfred will have to approach him gently when addressing to him or get his attention and be patient, so that he can get use to your home... Though, if you have animals at the manor (like Ace the Great Dane/German Shepherd or horses when you do horseback riding), it may make him feel a bit more comfortable because he loves animals (which he may as well be an animal whisperer) and has practically been raised by him for living in a circus...
You know? At times I wonder if Dick was born as a preemie, because he's smaller than most boys his age that makes him look younger and I think he's mostly skinny because of some of health issue of his, but that's just a thought.
Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter!
