You make me happy. This story has quickly become a favorite of mine. Watching these characters develop, grow and find strength in each other as the story unfolded was awesome to read. The amount of emotion pouring out of each chapter...the dialogue. I mean really, I could go on and on about how real and raw and beautiful this story was. I was a little skeptical when I first starting reading this if I could continue since it made me very sad to know that KB was dead. I was also sad when Rick & Kyra hooked up. I did continue on & I love the whole progress they made & end ending. It was truly a different style than your other stories, but very well detailed. Thank you & I look forward to more story's from you!

I think the theme to this chapter was that both Rick and Kate were moving on.

Got a kick out of how Kate could not keep her hands off of Rick until the flight to Toronto with him wanting them to join the Mile High Club. That showed that Kate has scruples.

I enjoyed that part where Kate found out what Rick was searching for on his laptop. His explanation when he noticed what he was doing was so him but it touched Kate that he would find a place for them. Of course that made her want to move in with him.

The bridge scene was great because I believe they both needed to be there. Rick getting rid of the key was cathartic for both.

Loved the ending as we found out that they are moving and having dinner with their friends.

I do wonder if you'll add a little more to the story since it wasn't marked complete. If you do, good, if not than this was an excellent ending.

What a tender and hopeful ending to what was at times a truly harrowing story. You certainly mined the depths of despair at times with this one but that made these last few chapters of true healing all the sweeter.
Thanks for helping make the hiatus bearable.

I like the fact that they came back to the bridge, where it all started. Castle's reaction shows that it will always be a sensitive topic and it is great because it doesn't feel too much like "all is well that ends well" !

Usually I only read fics which are already complete because I just can't wait and I forget details between chapters! But after the first chapter of AAO, I realized that this one deserved my patience :) It was actually quite exciting, like waiting between Castle episodes!

Anyway, thanks for that wonderful story! It was really gripping and never melodramatic!
