You were so not kidding about the dark angst! If you hadn't warned me and I did not absolutely love everything you've ever written, I don't think I could have gotten to the end. But this is amazingly raw and all too real. Glad you brought in Jim Beckett. It fits, on so many levels. I'm trusting that you will repair the hole in my heart (and Castle's).

Oh. My. God. I obviously gathered this was headed in this direction but I didn't see Kyra coming and holy heck, this just got ridiculously complicated and my heart is in a vice. Placing my poor fangirl heart in your hands for this one. Please be gentle? ACK! LOL

Thank U for bringing in Kyra... I've always really liked her character and feel like if anyone could heal Rick's heart,, it would be her.

This line fascinated me: She also shares just enough to keep him on his toes, make him want more, in a way that is both Beckett-like and un-Beckett-like.

And this just made me soo freakin sad: Of course, the only thing he can think of after that is the way Kate's puckered scar felt under his fingers that very first time, how she let him touch, guided his hand between her breasts...And that look she gave him, lowered lashes and lip caught between her teeth...Kate.

And I firmly believe this with all my heart: He might only have spent a couple months dating Kate, but he was in love with her for years leading up to that (he likes to think that some part of her was in love with him, too). And Kate Beckett - Kate Beckett ruined him...No other woman will ever do it for him.

And of course he says Kate's name the first time they make love.

And holy moly, I didn't see that end coming. Wow!

We all know Castle would recover, but this was a really surprising pathway there. Now, down another rabbit hole?

Not at all where I thought this was going to go. I like it. Thanks for making him happy sort of Ricks character always seems so happy like a puppy and when he's not it almost painful to see.

Oh man...I almost quit when I saw Kyra's name and then I remembered that I was trusting you. So I kept going and screaming "noooooooo" in my head. Ugh. I just don't even know...I neeeeeeeed more! My brain is a jumbled mess after all that. And poor Kate! Two years stuck with that jackhole. I just...ugh...trusting you trusting you trusting you.

Two years! What kind of Becket is left after two years! You are going to kill me, aren't you? I feel my heart wrung already, after these chapters.
