![]() ![]() ![]() What an refreshing idea for a story! Please update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Holy sh*t. When am I going to learn not to read these stories at work? Love it, it a heart wrenching, angst-y kind of way. |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMW! What a sad story! I can feel Castle's tail-spin heart ache. Please continue this story quickly! Oh, and I'm with Castle.. neither one is dead |
![]() ![]() ![]() well, that hurt. I thought this was a one shot first and was panicking. thank god it's not. My friend drowned and I remember having dreams and fantasizing about him washing up on the other side of the lake and having amnesia while they looked for his body. I only had to wait three days though. I hope this turns out better. |
![]() ![]() ![]() For whatever reason, your author's note at the beginning made me think everything would be wrapped up by the end - I didn't notice that it didn't say complete! But anyway - I thought this was the end and was thinking NO WAY! LOL But now that I know better - I'll impatiently wait for your to continue... but oh did this hurt so much! I was shocked to see that it's been 10 months since Kate went missing. I can't imagine what hell Kate has gone through if Jerry Tyson is indeed alive and holding her captive like Rick believes. That was a powerful scene between Jim and Rick and I wanted to cry right along with him. Your writing always draws me in and this story is no exception. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, oh, this is heartbreak. You had me close to tears on the bus, I'll have you know. How many chapters is this story going to be? I'm really anxious to see what happens next. Rochelle |
![]() ![]() ![]() Omg have read it in the middle of my class. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, I'm actually going to give you the benefit of the doubt just because you're truly an amazing writer - without a doubt, in my top 3 - and if you say to trust you, I do. But until the deep angst is gone from this fic, I'm never ever reading this story while on a break at work again. I'm restless and tearful and it's just THAT pathetic. That being said, and as masochistic as it may seem, this first chapter was simply extraordinary. Splendid job! Please update soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() And I was holding back the tears perfectly fine until I read: He was struck by a vivid memory of the way she looked at him in the early days of their partnership. Frustrated, pissed off and - yeah - intrigued, too. And turned-on. He remembers the sharp tug of it in his gut, knows she felt it too. God, he needs her so badly. And now they're rolling down my face: "I think she's dead, son," he says gently, laying a hand over Castle's forearm. "I think she's dead, and she never meant to take you into that darkness with her." Fuck - fuck, he's going to cry. He's going to - no, no, Kate... "Let it go, Rick," Jim encourages. "Let her go." And that last line says it all so poetically: he's never had a dad, never really needed one until now, and the only reason Jim Beckett is here at all is because the link between them is broken. Severed forever. I don't know if I can continue this story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm looking for my Gorilla Glue to put my heart back together! Wow, excellent start! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Please tell me there's more to this story... |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was devastating. Beautiful and SO sad! Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, Gosh. Oh boy. This surely is so much different. I said I'd give it a shot. Oh man. This is so hard to read. Poor, poor Castle. Ten months and no idea where she is, if she's still alive; no idea what to do with himself. Oh, and Alexis. He needs to apologize to her, in time. Now I wanna see, well, read, Kate's/Jerry's side of things. i hope we will get to learn them?! Till the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The angst is definitely here. You did an amazing job with the premise. I was not surprised that it took some words for Rick not to jump into the river to go after Kate as she fell in with Tyson. I've really liked how he has not given up hope that Kate is out there somewhere because her body hasn't turned up. Also, he believes that Tyson has her as he wasn't found either. I really believe that he's right and you have built a compelling argument for that here. You've also did an excellent job in showing how everyone wants Rick to move on. The best one was when Jim came over to see Rick at the end of the chapter. Kate's father and his words got to Rick and he was finally able to let go of some of his feelings about what happened. I am very interested in seeing where things go from here. |
![]() ![]() ![]() O.M.G. This is killing me but you said to trust you, so I do! Can't wait for the next chapter (s). Good story so far! |
