Couple lines that stuck out to me in this chapter:

"He is looking at John, the laser look, the Sherlock scan. "
"It's been ages since Sherlock insulted him." - interesting how the little things that used to annoy can be comforting when no longer around.

Very Sherlock-y proposal here. Can certainly picture it.

Mary is actually rather the only sensible person in this story so far. She is at least aware of feelings, sentiment, and such and willing to voice them. John and Sherlock are both living lies.

"There is a tiny chink of sound as his ring strikes the glass." - nice to add elements containing sound in your scene description. Creates a fuller picture of the scenes.

Cute humour at the end of this chapter.

Memories. Certainly seem to be haunting both men.

"It is as if Sherlock sheds a veil. It floats away, a silken cloth which has shielded his true face from view, and lies on the carpet between them for a few moments. John sees his eyes, naked and vulnerable..." poignant line.

Rather feels like a post break-up fling... in Sherlock's case, a post breakup case, complete with a woman.

I hope that he's not in love with her! He's gotta love John forever and ever!

Does he like john? Does he like her? *bangs head off wall* anyway this was an awesome update and set me on edge for the next one. And I'm not just saying that because of possible brain damage either!
