This piece is absolutely wonderful! the situation is really quite absurd and has a bit of Friends or some other US sitcom, but you manage to make. it entirely believable and more than a little entertaining. I do wish you hadn't left it off so abruptly where you did and hold out some. hope that one day you might return. to it with another chapter or two when the muse reawakens. thanks for writing as always!

Oh this was fun. I think having something develop
between the two of them away from everyone else makes sense. I like how she is trying to figure why he would leave and it slowly dawns on her that she did the same thing. Maybe what she really wants is to understand why she did it herself. They felt very real here, especially because there wasn't an instant intense attraction but something that grew out of a mutual enjoyment of the other's company. Like they didn't know they were in a romance fic. Now I'm imagining him hanging around until she finishes school, then they decide they are ready to go back to England, together. Oh yes, quite fun.
