Honestly, I find this loss a little bit unrealistic.

We know Jon Dickson used Rapidash and Ryhorn. Lugia's hydropump would easily defeat those two. Jon Dickson probably had a starter from professor Elm. Since he had a Rapidash, I'm going to say it isn't Typhlosion. If it's Feraligator, Celebi absolutly SMASHES. Against Meganium, Ash would probably loose Typhlosion then finish it off with Pikachu or something. Ampharos is fairly common pokemon in Johto. I believe that Celebi may fall. However, I believe Lugia will finish it off or Pikachu will defeat it using Iron tail. Let's say he has Scizor (pretty good pokemon). I think it could defeat Pikachu and then Ash would have Heracross finish it off. Finally, let's say he has an Espeon. Espeon will defeat Heracross and Meganium/Feraligator (Ash's Sixth pokemon). Then, Lugia will clean up.

Lugia seems strong enough to defeat at least Half of Jon's team. Pikachu and Celebi grab one W each. If we assume Jon's last pokemon RAMPAGES, we see 4-5 pokemon on Ash's side faint. Ash's last pokemon probably wins.

We this is fine, but you should have shown Jon using powerful pokemon. Maybe change it so that he was actually from Hoenn. Give him a Swampert, Salamence, Tyranitar, Metagross, evolve his Rhyhorn into Rhydon, and let him keep Rapidash.

I also dislike your choice in not using Earthquake, Magnitude, and Earthpower limits the commonly used ground type attacks to Dig and Bulldoze. Bulldoze being similar to Earthquake, I assume you will not use it. In my opinion, this is a severely limiting choice.

Finally, Ash should use pokemon he already has.

I find it somewhat unrealistic that Parasect would loose to Skiploom (First stage). Still, Parasect being quad weak to a stab flying type move kind of excuses it.

I would have preferred Ash just using Venasaur, but since he would have given Ephraim the prize anyways, I'm still fine with it.

First chapter is... not that good. Could use a lot more detail and grammar/spelling mistakes need to be fixed. Also word count is a little disappointing.

There should be a level system for trainers based on badges and competition they participate and win. Otherwise they always have to choose a same way for gym or lose to strong gyms like lt. Skurge

The terrible structure severely hampers an otherwise good story. It's populary in spite of the difficulty of reading it is because everyone craves a non-dumbass Ash, but that also means it would be dramatically more popular if you put in the time to go back through each chapter and use the enter key to separate speakers and paragraphs correctly as can be seen in literally any novel. And put in descriptions of people and environments and situations.

I skipped ahead to see if you ever use proper writing structure, but you never do. Not that the story is bad, but it is hard to read when you don't write correctly. Make a new paragraph when the speaker changes. Look at almost any average or popular fanfic to see an example or crack open any book.
