Its been 10 whole years, maybe more since i read and reread this amazing story for the first (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) time. It was still called A Life With Rose at that point, so however long ago that was. Anyway, i just realized that i never commented on this fic the first time around, even tho i literally loved this fic so much! but seriously, this will always be my favorite fanfiction ive ever read, had me coming back to reread again 10 years later. Thanks for bringing me back to the fandom and tenrose. Not sure what youre up to nowadays, but i hope you see this and it makes your day fantastic!

a better answer to jackie would be to say UNIT had her in protection after her store got bombed and they couldnt allow her any contact , and it would be true the doctor still employed by UNIT so

As for this episode, the whole premise is wonky.
The fact is, instead of projecting their clearly zealous, trigger-crazed Wokeisms on everything, there needs to be some correct viewing of reality.
In many cases, people got married young in those days. Some, even at 14.
And they’d start having kids at the same time.
All a part of being young adults.
As for those who had kids outside of wedlock (depending on the families), they would have (as some Yanks may say) a shotgun wedding.
The boy would be made to marry the girl.
So, generally speaking, this whole premise is rotten.
Nancy would not be a single mom, without a support base.
Family was especially huge at that point.
She wouldn’t be ashamed to name Jamie her son.
Nope. BBC at its worst,
not even detailing all of the other horrors from The Who-Insanity...

This is the first Doctor Who story that I have read through to completion. And not just read it, but DEVOURED it!

I’ve never quite found a story that strikes the balance between the correct vibe of the characters along with new fun/ fluffy turns so it’s not just a novelization of the episodes. “I laughed, I cried… it moved me.”

I know this came out almost TEN years ago, but WELL DONE. I can’t wait to dive into the sequel. INTO THE UNKNOWN

That has to be one of the best written chapters in any book or fanfic I've ever read.
