That seemed uneccessary and excessive. I mean yes he is an asshole who brutally broke up with her, and ignored her feelings post and during their relationship. But he didn't physically attempt to kidnap her or assult her grievously. In fact leaving her in the way that he had was good for Bella in the long run as it paved the path for her to be happy with someone who appreciated her and helped her to grow. No that doesn't excuse what he has done. I think Damon was right to take his hand. But Bella was just making assumptions in her anger and acted on them. Burning his hand was a step too far for something she had no proof for. Bella is healing and will continue to heal from the emotional wounds he inflicted on her. Edward will never heal from her burning his hand. He'll be forever in constant pain.

I enjoyed reading them going off on the Cullen's.

BUT Bella was covered in her own blood from Frederic's bite. Why wasn't Japer or any of the other Cullens reacting to that? It didn't make any sense.

I'm sure if I were reading this when it was still ongoing, that cliff hanger would have annoyed me greatly. But as this stands the story is already complete and I KNOW the tea about be spilled will be scolding. Set My Soul Alight didn't disappoint when it came to reading them the riot act and I know this won't next chapter. Damon was the fucking truth when he told off Jacob (though to be fair Jacob was forced to leave her but that is up for debate). I know next chapter is going to be viciously satisfying. Bella has grown a backbone and Damon isn't one to hold back.

Oh gosh that takes me back. I forgot book Damon could do that. I haven't read those books in years.

This was a goooooood chapter. I really loved it. I was just thinking, that for years people have been saying how toxic Edward is and this story really shows how Bella should have handled it. I love what you’ve done with her character. I’m very excited to keep reading.

Hope you still eventually write the sequel.
