Dude, don't think of it as getting too old for this, but rather that you're getting more seasoned at it. And note that there aren't a whole lot of authors who combine quality, wordcount, and longevity in this (or any other) fandom the way that you have. Granted, it's not the sort of achievement you can throw on a resume and get someone to pay you for (barring something like Patreon, at least), but it IS an achievement regardless.

I haven't read this since Chapter 33 as Fanfic Alerts were being ... uncooperative at the time. I have really enjoyed the story so far and will be exciting to see what happens with Naruto's little mission he set himself on. The fact he hasn't told anyone why Uzumaki Mito is so important strikes me as odd. Although, that will probably be brought up while they are on the trip to Uzu no Kuni.

Also, I have to agree with you. The story you, or any author, writes has to give them joy. If it doesn't give them joy, then the readers won't find joy in reading either. I also agree that even if someone is so powerful they should be able to wipe the floor with their enemies in every battle, that doesn't mean it should happen. Plans will always blow apart on first contact and it is just making the best with what each person has available.

I’ll also be honest, I’ve been reading your stuff for years and im honestly surprised you didn’t make a reference to the Vegeta-Ginyu “Freeza’s not at the ship” DBZA scene when Kakashi was telling Naruto about Nagato’s location. It seemed like such a you thing to do.

Something I’ve found kind of interesting about Naruto’s development in this story is the lack of sage mode. With both Jiraiya and Minato as his teachers it seems like it would have happened by now. But i guess this could be seen as a consequence of him already being friends with Kurama? No need to try to use an alternate path to leverage his huge amount of chakra when he’s still working out how to best use Kurama’s power and making visible progress.

When the world needed this story most, it returned.

Looks like Naruto's family is going to get a little bit bigger. He was already traumatized by his sister's conception when his parents reunited, and now he has been traumatized by the creation of his newer and even younger sibling. I'm starting to see a pattern and I would not be surprised if Naruto's conception also had an unfortunate witness.

Thanks for the chapter update. I really wish you could update more than 1 chapter a year, but I get it. Life happens. So I'll take this one chapter a year pace rather than a complete abandoning of the story. Anyway, it's a solid chapter. Thanks again.

Hinata’s got competition!

I loved this chapter, and am so happy we got an update on one of your stories. I liked the fight between Itachi and Darui, it was a lot of fun, and I felt it captured Darui's character. Sasuke's part was short and sweet, and I'm excited to see how the danzo part unravels. Can't wait for your other releases
