I have one itty-bitty problem. I think that you forgot that you were writing a story that takes place in Japan when Kagome was that nervous about talking about sex. Or you probably just forgot how sexualized Japan is as a country.

Japan is a country where the Age of Consent (the age where a person is legally able to have sex) is 13. Japan is a country where anyone with a remote control can have access to uncensored porn. Japan is a country that sells used ladies panties in vending machines on the street.

Sorry, but I don't really buy Kagome as being THAT nervous talking about sex and how it's a 'private' thing considering she grew up in Japan.
