I don't know if you still read these, but I wanted to say thank you for writing these stories and leaving them on fanfiction for others to enjoy.
I love how real 'your' characters feel. My main complaint with these sorts of stories is that the romance feels like the only thing that matters in the characters' lives. I love that in this story so far - and especially in your Garret/Bella story - the romance is just one piece of the personal growth puzzle. It's often not outrageously complicated, and ties into a larger narrative of love, loss, forgiveness, empathy, etc.
In this story, Bella is not my favorite character BUT that makes it better than 99% of what I've read on this site. She has enough character for me to decide I don't like her much, and that's vital. No one is a caricature, Mary Sue, or irredeemably evil. They seem so real.
I can't wait to read more of your stories. I also refuse to believe you are not publishing original works by now. If you see this, please let me know your (pen?) name so I can buy some of your books. I'd love to have them on my shelf.
Thank you for sharing.
All the best,
