It hard to believe that Alice would allow Astra to be taken. Maybe she could have prevented it but that meant leaving those poor children to Ed’vard.

Huh... until this chapter I didn’t realize that Khai was SOLD to the Federation. I have been worried that Ed’vard might still have control over him but if he was made to be sold than I guess not. That doesn’t stop the mild worry about Astra since Giidas might think she belongs to them since they made her and weren’t paid.

I really love this story, you should delve deeper, make it into a book. I have so many questions. What does the Federation think about owning Khai? Is he free? What happened to Felix? The engineer supervisor? The guy that stabbed Astra? Why would he risk his career he worked 3 years for? Did he actually think he would be congratulated? Did Rose get recognition for her system she built? Was the ship built faster because Khai was nice?

Impending fate? Was that suppose to sound ominous? I hope not.
Khai should have been aware of cameras in his office.

Wow! That was so sad, disappointing. I had hope while reading the story that she would meet her family one day, at least her brother. They should have sent her brother with her if they knew what was going to happen, maybe they thought he would be spared.
I hope they kill him. He’s not really Khai’s father, he said that himself, he only has a small part of him.
I can’t believe they moved his sex organs, creepy. At least they didn’t make him a eunuch, that sounds like it could have been a logical option to the monsters, especially since Khai didn’t think he would ever mate.

I was worried that Khai was sick but now I realize he was feeling a need to claim his mate.
I do have a concern. Is Khai still completely Federation property? When they find out that Astra was made by them will they feel she is also Federation property? To do with what they please? What about their children?
Why is Astra still wondering where she came from? Her visions seemed to be pretty cut and dry and she is still acting like she was abandoned and unloved. Where abandoned is true it was obviously for her own good.
They haven’t discussed her visions, the ones that had Khai in them.

I hope it is known that she didn’t really loose, that her opponent is an ass.

I was worried when cheating was mentioned that Astra might be accused of cheating when the connection between her and Khai is realized.

That didn’t go so bad except for poor Jasper. I wonder what Alice had seen, did she see her mate almost being killed. It was a close call, maybe that is one of the reasons she needed to be at the academy.

I hope Astra takes Alice's advice. I’m disappointed that Astra didn’t real feel Khai except for the headaches. Has she still been meditating? I assume she didn’t delve too deep if she did.

That was close. I wonder if Astra felt any of what he was going through.

Can the first bond be severed? I’m assuming there is no looking back so Khai’s running would be illogical. If he didn’t have intentions of following through with their relationship than he shouldn’t have bitten her. I guess this is where he is claiming to have lost control.

I guess Alice was right, they would be separated by distance. Hopefully, not for long.
Khai should have at least spoken to her before he left, made sure she understood the situation. Hell, even I don’t understand except to assume he feels an overwhelming urge to consummate their relationship. I hope she makes him suffer when he comes back, that was unforgivable.
