Calm down, kikki hope ... geez! So much vitriol, you just might suffer apoplexy. Take it for the fanfiction that it is, and don't split your spleen over it. I agree with the "bookroom" - but this use isn't unheard of, so take it for what it is ... a room of books. Militia during the english wars have been known to stay at inns, especially during deadly winter months, so chill. Barracks would be built, but sometimes there just was no opportunity for it. Middle names, while probably not used by Austen, had been around in England since late middle ages, I think - although admittedly mostly among landed gentry and other wealthy families. Give the author the freedom to use them, okay? He or she never pretended to be Jane Austen in writing this story. And yes, a man, especially like Wickham, can father many children.

the militia don't stay at an inn! That was sudden, not much of a romance.

It is a library, not a book room, Austin never used a middle name, I don't understand why you seem to think every character has a middle name. Darcy, is Darcy, but everyone else needs a first name? So many pregnant girls? Do you know the odds of falling pregnant.. So many odd thing you write are so vexing to me.

I've read quite a few P&P fic. In them I have hated, been irritated, liked, and even loved Mrs. Bennet. But never until now have I ever cried for her. This is truly a marvelous work.

Lovely ending. I was teary-eyed :)

Can I just say I adored your take on Mrs Bennet and her subsequent friendship with Darcy? There were moments, especially their meeting when Darcy found Mrs Bennet crying and Darcy's letter to 'Mother', that I found myself very close to tears. I always find it sad that Darcy is an orphan and has to be stoic for Georgiana's sake and I believe that he would have benefited greatly from a mother's guiding influence especially in social occasions maybe he would not have been as awkward around Elizabeth then ;) Thank you for this, I enjoyed it very much!

This was so very lovely!
I was suprised at first at your take on Mrs Bennet, but with every chapter she it made a lot more sense. I liked her portrayal in this fic and I absolutely adore her realtionship with Darcy.

Oh my goodness, bless you. I loved this story so, so much! Your Mrs. Bennet is exactly how I've always wanted her to be, and in truth, I think how she was intended to be. She may be silly, but by no means is she unintelligent. I loved the relationships you've created here (especially the one between Mrs. Bennet and Darcy)!
Thank you so very much for sharing this story.

Reading Obsidian, and remembered this other story of yours. Had to read it again. It is even better when you can read it all in one sitting. I just love your Mrs. Bennet. The best version of her I have ever read.

this was such a sweet story... I am a hopeless romantic ( or to quote from Romancing the Stone... a hopeful romantic) I just love the interaction and care between Mrs. Bennet and William. Thank you so much for your story.
