| Oriondruid chapter 1 . 6/23/2013
Albus and Gellert, together what a force for good those two amazing wizards might have been! Sadly not to be though, one of them was too infatuated with power and the other blinded by love until almost too late. A tragedy for both of them, but for Albus perhaps even more so.
Well written and a good description of the beginning of a doomed love.

"Oh, the elm is aspiration, and death is in the yew..." (Bernard Freeman Trotter)
This is beautiful! A wonderful contrast between the peace of summer and the danger of the friendship, like a thunderstorm building on a summer day. I especially like the way you start it with Albus looking back from later years.
