| Laura Mayfair chapter 1 . 11/3/2013
Oh, that first line gave me the chills. "It was the touch of a hand, sometimes."
I like how supportive Sharon is without ever being dogmatic. She gives Rusty a lot of room and she opens up a little bit about herself in a very honest way. I enjoyed Rusty and Sharon's closeness and the spark of humor there, too. Rusty's comment about needing a book of coping skills to handle Rios was cute!
I love Sharon's practical ideas about therapy and this is something that I learned about therapists.
They are not all created equal. Therapy should NOT be a laundry list of all of the "bad things" that happened to you. (I love that line!) It should help you move forward. It should empower you. Sharon is spot on about helping fine the "right" therapist for Rusty and she's Sharon so I trust that she will.

Good story. I keep waiting for the show to give Rusty some coping skills, or discuss flashbacks or stuff like that. Sharon was perfect here.

Good insights. I call it "picking at scabs." shudder! Not pleasant.
