If this is how the show ends, I will kill Bruno Heller. Not really kill him, just send him some very nasty emails. The Lisbon and Jane angle in this story, I adored (if it only ended a bit more happier than it did), but I hate the thought of Jane going to prison for killing Red John. That's always unsettled me, because as wrong as it is, (I'm a Christian and believe fully that 'thou shall not kill'), I feel that someone like Jane is justified in killing the man who murdered his family. As wrong as it is, it doesn't seem right to punish him. I know, I know, they wouldn't end the show with the main character going to jail (I hope!), but the thought unsettles me, nonetheless.

But I love how you wrote Jane and Lisbon in this. It's sweet and romantic and angsty, something I'd sadly addicted to. I don't suppose you were planning on continuing this story, were you? Maybe adding another chapter for when Jane gets out of prison and Lisbon is waiting for him (as always)?

It was like this was right out of the show. I'm sure it'd be this way if it'd happen. iof course she will wait for him. Jane didn't have to ask. It's because they love each other and until then, they will work it out somehow.
Thank you for sharing this great piece of work with us. i really miss your stories and it's too bad you have so much work and studying to do. Maybe you'll find the time for more and even if it's just oneshots on the way through the hiatus :)

Loved it! I like that Lisbon knows she's going to wait for Jane, but wants it to be on her own terms and not feel like she's obligated by a promise to an imprisoned man. And I love that he's so open with his feelings for her. :)

You had a perfect opportunity to write another two chapters here to get Jane out of prison, and Lisbon is the kind of CBI agent to do it too. Too short of a story, this had a lot of potential.

that is so sweet:), and yet so sad:(. why does he always have to end up in jail? Just once they need to *thank him* "Oh Jane you've made the world safer for all of us, How can we repay you?" instead of "yes you've rid the world of an evil slime, but we have to punish you anyway."

I do love his sincerity, asking her to wait for him, promising he'll make it worth it. sigh And that little flashback of their almost love-scene:). you need to do a part 2- he gets out of jail early, she's waiting for him, they live happily ever after, and finish what they started winkwink;)...

What a beautiful and at the same time sad Story.

I'd love to see it continue, maybe after Jane is released: Hope you find some inspiration and continue this. (Maybe she didn't visit him anymore at some point for whatever reason (Promotion, FBI) and he has to go looking for her...oh well here goes my angst mode mind again.)
