|Reviews for A Perfect Day|
| wryter501 chapter 6 . 2/26
merlin's thought processes are kind of funny-sad. contemplating his life/death/failures/friendships. and deciding to cross over... but whether or not to keep his clothes on, and i'm not such a good swimmer... :) sigh.
i like their interaction, too. not too mushy, but still heartfelt. nice that arthur left, and then merlin decided on his own to go back, to trust arthur, too, and try again with everything.
nice little scene bringing gwen back into it - and nice little joke. wake the dead. :P
good job arthur, actively assuming the risks alongside merlin.
well done on the story - it was a good read!
| wryter501 chapter 5 . 2/26
it's funny, kind of, that arthur doesn't consider the legality of his actions. he's wary of the magic (who wouldn't be) and whether it will be effective, but he doesn't once think of his father or what the consequences might be if they're discovered... (i mean to say, he doesn't hesitate to keep /his/ use of magic secret from his father, or think about the parallels there, what merlin's done and what he's contemplating doing...)
lock the door, gaius - how are you going to explain this one if someone comes in? ;)
good job with the memories, too. hunith and will might have been speaking right to arthur...
this last image, i find myself imagining that merlin is trying to get to avalon (trying to die?)...
| wryter501 chapter 4 . 2/26
that's a unique element - gwen telling arthur, if you reject him, you're not the man i thought you were. her opinion of his character entering into his decision of what to do...
you show arthur's dilemma very perceptively, i think, without going overboard with the introspection...
| wryter501 chapter 3 . 2/26
it's just like arthur to be all frantic to save merlin's life - but then once he's delivered him to gaius and has some time to think, he turns his back on the whole situation... i think i'd like to get an idea what arthur's doing during these few days, whether he's gotten another servant, whether he's taking it out on the training field, etc. maybe another gaius pov or even leon pov to show that he's still struggling with the decision, etc. that he's getting news of merlin's condition w/o going himself or asking gaius/gwen directly...
| wryter501 chapter 2 . 2/26
and the almost-death. wringing the feels out of my heart before smoothing it out to dry... ;)
i love the idea that merlin's magic responds to arthur's commands, too.
| wryter501 chapter 1 . 2/26
a lighthearted beginning, some silly-sweet romance... and then (of course, doesn't it always) everything goes straight to h*ll.
i always want to tell these guys, not a smart idea to threaten a sorcerer...
and the multiple-stabbing. *cringe* brutal, violent, unstoppable... :(

Absolutely loved it :D
| Lady of The Wind Dweller chapter 6 . 8/6/2013
Wonderful story, I love it. Especially the scene where lucid dreaming-Arthur sees how he looked at Merlin when he died, very emotional, it raised goosebumps on my hands.
| SpangleyPony chapter 6 . 7/29/2013
| Auua Ytjoml chapter 6 . 7/23/2013
Excellent ending to an excellent story!
| zendog chapter 6 . 7/19/2013
Sorry it's taken a while for me to get around to reviewing this story but I finally got the chance to finish it and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. The plot was well thought out and the relationship and especially the banter between Merlin and Arthur was perfectly fitting for their characters. "Empty Merlin" was suitably creepy and the dream walking sequences were brilliant.
| JessieJay13 chapter 2 . 7/17/2013
Ooh, very interesting idea there, that Arthur van rouse Merlin's magic like that.
| Ernil i Pheriannath chapter 6 . 7/15/2013

| Loulou2a chapter 6 . 7/15/2013
It's a reveal fic like I love.
There are actions and a questionning Arthur. But friendship is more important and Arthur accepts who merlin is.
