Just because of your style and strength of writing, this deserves more. I understand it's a stand alone, but I would love to see more of the two young boys lives, and how that moulds them. Perhaps another story following the seven as youngsters, and show how their early years made them who they are. Just a thought, and also a selfish wish to read more of your writing.

very nice, well written, and nice to see the same event from both of their perspectives, and very realistic that those two could have crossed paths at one point, I really liked that Ezra had such a kind uncle
