I have no idea if you will ever see this considering the last time you updated this story was years ago. I will just assume you have lost interest or inspiration in regards to this story. However, I just wanted to let you know that I think this story is amazing. I wanted to let you know that reading this "fanfic" (read: masterpiece) was definitely a highlight of this quarantine and wanted to thank you for writing this. :)

God, I’ve re-read this a lot the last few years and I see new things every time. The line about Sakura getting the sharingan through osmosis was hilarious!

I understand Sarutobi's idea on raising Naruto but he just ignored the social isolation he was put through and how Naruto may act once he realizes just how much he knew about what was going on in his world. Realistically Naruto wouldn't be able to think of him as a surrogate grandfather anymore, maybe that is why his son left to guard the diamyo and treats him like the hokage and not a father.

it's a sad day when it seems like no one cares for a lovable goofball like naruto for being himself, so sad.

It’s not often that a story has an old man authority figure who is manipulative AND good. Props to author, really enjoy Sarutobi!

On the actual chapter, I really liked how Naruto's Ninjutsu mastery (and vast experience with collaborative jutsu) allowed him to seriously mess up Zabuza's Mist. It also gave you something to actually do with his vast chakra reserves, instead of him just suddenly being out of it.

That Naruto was a large enough bother to force Haku to restrain him was also excellent. That Naruto actually won that fight with the primary handicap being Haku not trying to blitz him down was also really well done. Without explicitly noting the pseudo cop out of Clone outside the dome, switch, solved conceit. Maybe Naruto will do that next time.

Anyway, from a story perspective, this vastly changes the nature of the arc. Kakashi is "out" but Zabuza is not, instead Haku is down. How down is an open question, and how willing Zabuza is to leave him alone makes a big difference on how the rest will play out.

Plus, with Zabuza's insight into Naruto's heritage, he may decide cutting his losses here to be prudent for future business, especially if he wants to actually return to Water and be helpful to them.
