God I love this story so much, this is how fanfiction should be. I know how hard it is to consistently write your ideas in a way that you like but this is a diamond in the rough amongst all the other trash on this site. I'm excited to see what happens next!

I would have to agree with you on minato choosing konoha over Naruto not because of what he said to Kushina but because of what he did. In the movie Naruto Shippūden the Movie: The Lost Tower minato could have changed things and saved Naruto from what he went through but did not. He instead wiped the memories of everything away, if I remember it all correctly. That is why I am not a minato fan and think that Kushina was too loyal/fangirlly to him. I do not think that an academy student would be able to take on 3 jonin on his own let alone kill/beat them. It just doesn't seem right to me and that is what happened? This all is just in my eyes, which is why I fully agree with what you said of minato's priority being konoha and not family.

I kind of want see Kushinas group find Naruto and fight Obito before Naruto blurt out his name on accident. Having Kushina struggle with the supposedly dead student stole her son. Maybe have them talk before deciding to help him and try and fix the world. She'd rather have that then agree with anything on what Minato says due to his choice.
Don't have to do it if you don't want to though.

It's like choose between two of the worst choices with different consequences. It's Hokage's duties to choose the best out of worst. I understand what Minato (in this story) been through.

The main issue I've always had with the Moon-Eye plan has always been that it seems disrespectful to your loved ones, ya know?
Like a total willingness to replace them and your memory of them with a dream, something fake. Humans aren't perfect, and Rin wouldn't be Rin without imperfections but you'd be essentially discarding everyone you love for a perfect fake version (especially those who are still alive) ... which would make sense if you think everything about the "real" version is worthless and not worth living for...
But it makes me think that if Obito really did love Rin, there's no way he'd be content with merely a dream of her.

Canon Minato is such a good person I don't get why people like to fuck him over in their fics

Poor Naruto, trying to save that guy. Such a Obito move to see how things played out before jumping in.
