| Deandra chapter 1 . 8/10/2013
Nice look at Aragorn's feelings about both his sword and his history. And Faramir's thoughts are heartwarming as well.

Nicely balanced. I liked the use of tolkienesque word orders to subtly give the right feel in some of the sentence. This felt as if it was a fragment of a longer story in your mind, with the conversation foreshadowing some other more major incident. I'd be very interested to read it if so.

Dear Linda: This story was another I first read when you posted it at the Teitho site-and as usual, it gained one of my votes. I loved the way you have skillfully interwoven Aragorn's personal history with those of his ancestors, your descriptiveness of the weapons and Aragorn's explanations of how it has served him and his feelings about that, and most of all, the close relationship he and Faramir have. It seems as if for all the loved ones the King has, Faramir is the only one he can talk to about certain things, or at least, is the person who understands him the best. You have also utilized your usual gifts for both description and dialogue in writing this story. Thank you. Sincerely, Darkover
