Fleur24 chapter 43 . 10/2/2015 hehe Martha knocked or slapped rather some sense into that thick Time Lord brain of his. I'm glad he's finally getting on with it. It is rather funny and ironic that his foray into Rose's mind, was all he needed to see that she truly and absolutely loved him. So idiotic and thick, he is. |
Fleur24 chapter 42 . 10/2/2015 Nancy and Jamie! I shrieked with happiness when that was revealed. Makes me so happy that lovely reference to Nine, and what happened to them afterwords. Sometimes looking back is a good thing. So Rose is causing his headaches, and something to do with bonding. They're just gonna have to get married or bonded aren't they? He needs her in his head as well as his hearts. |
Fleur24 chapter 40 . 10/2/2015 Martha and the TARDIS are meddling and getting them to admit their feelings and everything out in the open is brilliant, especially the TARDIS making sure the Doctor heard everything Rose said. I love how Martha pulled into the kitchen by his ear, and scolded both of them. The two of them are absolute toddlers sometimes. Locking them in a room together and making them talk is a very good idea. The Rosette Galaxy in all its glory. Yep the Doctor is not a normal guy, but that's part of his charm. They finally kissed and made up, mostly! I do love how Martha walked in on them. Yes both Martha and the TARDIS deserve a week if pampering by out idiotic duo. |
Fleur24 chapter 39 . 10/2/2015 "The way he'd seen all the pain while she'd seen all the beauty basically summed up the Doctor and Rose to a T." That is an accurate summary of the pair of them, and that's why they have arguments because see the Universe in different ways. Two sides of the same coin, the good and the bad. I am glad that Rose got him to leave the Family to die, instead of what he planned to do. its what Rose does, show compassion even to those who sought to harm her. I did adore the Doctor's conversation with Conway. Such a clever and perceptive man, being able to see all the stuff in between and knowing the differences between how the Doctor and Rose would see things. Rose's conversation with Joan was also brilliant, bringing back Shakespeare's words about them balancing each other. Timothy gets the Doctor's watch, but the Doctor keeps Rose's. Hopefully that means he's not going to push her away again. Forever is a long time to be alone, especially when you have someone else who can live forever as well. The loved the two little snippets about Conway and Joan getting married and making a life together and the one with Timothy at the memorial service for the Great War. Its lovely that the Doctor and Rose were present for both events, looking worlds better than they had before. |
Fleur24 chapter 38 . 10/2/2015 That was rather heart-wrenching to read, as John and Marion probably would've been quite happy with their humans lives and their jobs at the school. Unfortunately the Universe needs its Doctor, and the Doctor needs his Rose. |
Fleur24 chapter 37 . 10/2/2015 Well this is rather interesting, having them both be humans. with their set memories. Though I do rather like that Martha has convinced Conway and Joan that Marion and John aren't human, but it'll be tough convincing the others of that despite their textbook pasts. I love how even as a dissociated voice, the Doctor's still protective of his Rose and wanting to keep her from harm. |
Fleur24 chapter 36 . 10/2/2015 "My feelings for you don't vanish just because you manage to annoy me." Well that is good to know, if only the Doctor and Rose could remember that. I, on the other hand, am glad that her alias, Marion, stepped in and got him to reascend his approval of Hutchinson beating Latimer. Allowing that to happen is beastly and barbaric. I love their conversation after the heated words. It was rather sweet. It also proves that they love each other no matter what or who they are. Life would be uninteresting if the two of them didn't argue every once in awhile. That bit with the Northern sky and the lamp was rather cool, harking back their adventurous natures. And of course Martha would have to blunder in, while their having a romantic moment. I do hope she does have words with them when they return to their proper selves. The Doctor would be completely awkward if he knew about his human self being engaged to Rose's. Oh dear the Family is here, and that just means trouble. |
Fleur24 chapter 34 . 10/2/2015 Yep Marion Lewis is rendered speechless by John Smith, will wonders never cease. I do love their bantering now that they've decided to be friends. It was amusing when they weren't, but all the same. |
Fleur24 chapter 33 . 10/2/2015 I loved this little lesson in constellations, as I do adore standing outside at night and looking at the stars. What a shocking little twist, Marion Lewis and John Smith can actually be civil and friendly towards each other. |
Fleur24 chapter 32 . 10/2/2015 Its rather hilarious that both alias are universally adored by everyone in the school except themselves. that's just funny. I do like Rose's alias of Marion Lewis. Its a lovely combination of her middle name and nickname, plus it sounds lovely together. "We'll never see eye to eye on anything. If we ever do...that's the day the world will end." If that doesn't sound like foreshadowing, nothing will. Especially as the next chapter is called 'The Day that the World Ends'. "It's good to know that you and your extreme notions are safely tucked away in a dusty library where they can arm no one; only provide us with an evening of charmed amusement." That was a low blow to make, regardless of the time era. I'm rather glad that John Smith saw that it was uncalled for. Though Marion's retort was brilliant. |
Fleur24 chapter 31 . 10/2/2015 Props to Martha for dealing with the two idiots for so long. Its like taking care of children. I rather like this new twist of Rose using the Chameleon Arch as well as the Doctor. |
Fleur24 chapter 30 . 10/2/2015 Oh Martha, I do like the turn she's made in terms of character, but she's rather back where she started being the mediator, except between friends instead of her family. Those two are completely in love, but are so freaking stubborn that they can't compromise. The Doctor's also so broken, and unable to see that Rose is going to stay no matter what happens. What a lovely way to enter the Human Nature/Family of Blood arc. |
Fleur24 chapter 29 . 10/2/2015 WOW that was quite something. They've had fights before, but goodness gracious that was a all out row or what ever you call it. The Doctor has a lovely knack of self destruction and ruining what good things he has, by being distant and not letting other help. |
Fleur24 chapter 24 . 10/2/2015 Rose has made a sport out of yelling at Daleks, hasn't she? it's always rather amusing hear it. Oh the Doctor and his suicidal tendencies. Tallulah wasn't wrong about they're kiss though. It was a hell of a kiss. |
Fleur24 chapter 23 . 10/2/2015 Daleks don't like Rose, and she doesn't like them either. It is a rather lovely thing. The Doctor does like them either, especially when they mess with his Rose. No Doctor, Rose is not trying to kill you, just the opposite. |
