You almost read my mind...I've been meaning to do a Dr Who fic that takes place in the Blitz. And of course, this is well done, as always...

Such a moving piece. Really unique style to this one.
In spite of the horror of the subject matter (war: both man vs man, and vs demon), there's almost an "innocence" in the telling. I love that "Mr Hathaway says a word Iris's mother would refuse to believe he knows." I'm not sure it was intended to be written this way (and please forgive me if I offend), but it's as if the story teller is a child. A friend or sibbling of the Slayer, perhaps. (Which is certainly NOT to suggest that the story is in any way childish.) I simply love the naivete of the voice.
The end paragraph is simply marvellous.

This was very good. I like the glimpse into the past and the contrast between the unending war of the Slayer and WW2.
