I read Evolution around 2011 after finding a dearth of Seikai fiction online (not here but on another website?). Anyway some months later I found it here and I left a review on March 18, 2012 for ch 1 of that fic. I enjoyed it so much I consider it one of the best Seikai fics out there.

This was unfortunately right before you published Furlough so I didn't notice for a while. When I did I remember reading the first few paragraphs with Sulley and then putting Furlough on my backburner to read later. I was so busy in the past few years I forgot all about it.

It was only when I was planning my own Seikai fic that I came back to this site and found your stories. I remembered I had never gotten around to reading Furlough and got started again. Immediately I noticed all the small details and research you did about the setting from my own recent background research. Things like Silejia being a canon planet/former star nation, the Thousand Great Families, the various ship weapons, and ship types etc. show the meticulous research you did for this fic years ago.

First of, my thoughts broadly echo Mark-Engels great review back in 2013. You capture the characters so well.

I absolutely loved the wordplay. The sublime dialogue. You really capture the style. It was quite a joy to read ch 1.

I can't believe I have six chapters to go. I'm enjoying it so much.

This is incredibly well written for a fanfiction. I'm so glad I decided to check Seikai no Monshou section on a whim, I did not expect to find much. Seriously thanks for writing this, it was perfect.

I just finished Evolution and Furlough...several times. I really enjoyed both of them...well maybe Furlough a bit more. This one put the relationship between Lafiel and Jinto in a believable direction. I hope you have the time to come up with a 3rd story.

I just realized I never posted a review for this, but it was a great sequel to your last story, and though I'm not sure I like the head cannon, it works out really well.

I'm having some trouble coming up with a review that can do some justice to what I just read. Simply put your story is marvelous in every sense of the word. With very little of note reading in this section, you have crafted a story that I found to have seamlessly blended with canon even with its original elements. The conversations between characters were on point and the humor I have come to appreciate in the series ever present in the right doses. Even the delivery of the romance is as abrupt as the events that shook the foundations of their lives.

I believe that there was real thought and care taken in planning this story from start to finish. As far as I can tell every plot point introduced was eventually resolved before the inevitable end. My only real complaint, if you can even call it that, is the abrupt nature of their departure. Of course it just had to happen that way given the nature of Admiral Spoor. Did I forget to mention how spot-on the conversations were in delivery?

I haven't left a signed review in years, but this is all I can do to show my gratitude for providing me with quality entertainment. I can extoll on the virtues of your story even further, but I fear I lack the grammatical mastery to do so. I'll end this review with a thank you for your hard work and contribution to this section and to the greater fanfiction community at large. I should have probably read Evolution first, but I confess that I found myself more interested in the relationship aspect than another Sci-Fi/Adventure thriller. I will correct this oversight with due diligence.

Very nice... Its certainly different from the norm at least in my definition of it. I appreciate the fact that you stuck with this story to finish it out.. I only re-looked at what I have with my own story today and still have major stuff to do. I really enjoyed reading this. Great work.

Read your first CotS fic a few years ago. Just re-read it along with this one. Both great fics. Glad there is someone out there who can write some really good CotS fics, hopefully you and other people will write more. Great job here.

Thank you for writing this. As a fan of the Banner of the Stars series, seeing well written (English) fanfictions is about as good as I can get to having more of the series. While I see a few spots where there were typos made, this still is a well written piece, with a rather satisfying ending, if open ended. Then again, with how the world is set up, a proper epilogue would probably be written as a one-shot about the generations to follow Jinto and Lafiel, and the effects of their actions had on the Abh Empire.

good continuation of the timeline started in your last work. I hope you'll write another some day. since the abh and the landers fear evolution I hope your explore that theme more.
