anna chapter 4 . 10/9/2002
this chapter was so funny, i had to chuckle all the while i was reading it (which was a bit embarassing since i was at work then). i really like that spider, i can perfectly see it perched on the throne and hissing at his would-be owner "greenie"! ("wicked greenie" had me nearly in stitches). i have some ideas about what elrond is going to receive as a present, but no matter what itll be the relations between imladris and mirkwood are likely to be strained even more...
addicted chapter 4 . 10/6/2002
you have to write more of this really really really soon!
wellduh chapter 4 . 10/5/2002

I LIVE!

Sorry I haven't reviewed in so long. I was grounded...and my computer priviledges were taken away...and I sat helplessly quiet in my room. *screeches like a ringwraith* I feel better already!

About Glorfindel, I will say that In the Silmarilion and Unfinished Tales, it states quite clearly that the Glorfindel of Gondolin was very dead, very much dead indeed.

"...hardly would they have been saved by the valour of yellow-haired Glorfindel, chief of the House of the Golden Flower of Gondolin, had not Thorondor come timely to their aid.

Many are the songs that have been sung of the duel of Glorfindel with the Balrog upon a pinnacle of rock in that high place (Cirith Thoronath); and both fell to ruin in the abyss...then Thorondor bore up Glorfindel's body out of the abyss, and they buried him in a mound of stones beside the pass: and a green turf came there, and yellow flowers bloomed upon it amid the barreness of stone, until the world was changed."

He's got to be dead! He's already pushing up daisies! Then, in the index it says...

"Glorfindel: Elf of Gondolin, who fell to his death in Cirith Thoronath in combat with a Balrog after the escape from the sack of the city."

Well, now that I think about it, there's a conflicting story for most historical subjects. They can't even make up their minds on how Galadriel met Celeborn! I'd love to hear your side of the story.

Anyway, what an evil spider! I'd squish it out of the kindness of my heart...otherwise I would pull each of its legs off one by one!

You really should come to Angband and visit! Several other elves have come here as well. Tis a shame you've inspired me to pursue Glorfindel. He always did strike me as tall, fair, and handsome. I wasn't going to keep Legolas, just borrow him! I'll send him with Earendil immediately to...wherever you are. Earendil is one of my favorite elves..._

Just call when you need Legolas!
Guest chapter 4 . 9/29/2002

Anonymous chapter 4 . 9/27/2002
Another Orc story? Oh, goody. I can't wait! *rolls eyes* I say that about all your stories, I know. It's still true. Aralith is sooo like a big brother. "'You are in trouble, tithen gwador,' he said with a smirk, folding his arms across his chest." Big brothers love it when their younger siblings are in trouble and they get to tell them about it. But no matter how hard he tries I doubt he will be able to imitate Thranduil as well as Legolas does. He doesn't have enough practice shrieking. Brethil is no help whatsoever. "Oh! That it!" Tavor is so much more patient than I would be. Brethil always knows just what to say to make the situation ten times worse. Of course, being Brethil, he always says it too. I have been reading "The Silmarillion" and "Unfinished Tales" and whenever I read about the Forest of Brethil I can't help but think of your story (I have to resist the urge to giggle). I see that Legolas has a new name. Wicked Greenie! *shrieks with laughter* Poor Legolas! (c. TreeHugger) I love the line, "Mirkwood's prince had overly bright eyes and the 'I have a brilliant idea that will get us into trouble' look on his face." He will undoubtedly be successful. That's the good part. Tanglinna is really rather cruel. No sympathy at all for the poor, beleaguered Prince of Mirkwood. *shrugs* At least he gets to "fetch the bread." *sadistic grin* Maybe it will teach him more patience. *mutters* About the same time Sauron plants a flower garden at Barad-Dur.
Hannah chapter 4 . 9/27/2002

calenedhel chapter 4 . 9/25/2002
Greenie! Wicked little greenie! That is soooooo cute! I love seeing Legolas young, but pelase help him get his fingers better.

Tanglinna is rather 'wicked' himself, isn't he? maybe HE should have a go getting rid of the spider. Or maybe Aralith could have a go?

I think for once it's poor, poor everybody! They do seem to have moret han their fair share of bad luck in mirkwood, don't they?

Please be nice to the poor characters... or maybe don't... Angsty Legolas is beautiful...
