Oh, this is cute. And to be sure, cats are so much more dexterous than dogs... :)
| Guest chapter 1 . 8/15/2013
Great! How a cat and a dog helped Diplomacy along... *big grin*
Is there more of it?

Knowledge is power. Aragorn yet again demonstrates this /superbly/.
| Wtiger5 chapter 1 . 8/10/2013
Ok I giggled a lot at that one. I needed that giggle too
| Deandra chapter 1 . 8/11/2013
Poor Nimrodel - she gets blamed while the cat is praised!
But, all is well that ends well.
..."Return Prince Eldarion's dog to the kennels then go and find someone to clear up this broken glass and crockery," - should add a comma after "kennels"

Cute! I think the picnic did more to help diplomatic relations than a meal in the dining room would have!
Is Laurea based on Leo?

A sweet bit of everyday life. There would probably have been cat hairs etc on the plates after such a thorough anyway, so maybe it's just as well...
| Darkover chapter 1 . 8/10/2013
Dear Linda: I'm glad you didn't forget to share this story with us. The situation is saved, indeed improved, by Aragorn's quick thinking and ability to improvise. Once again, readers are reminded that he is a great king not just because he is a great warrior, but because he can handle almost any situation! Laurea and Nimrodel may have caused the situation, although when I first read the part about Laurea sauntering into the dining room, which had been prepared for the King, the Queen, and the Ambassador, I found myself thinking; "Well, a cat may look at a king!" This story was nicely original and a pleasure to read. Thank you for writing and posting it here. Sincerely, Darkover

Cute little story! I'm interested in seeing what else you have planned for this little series of fics.
