I honestly have no idea how this fic doesn't have at least ten or one hundred times the number of reviews here. This is honestly one of the absolutely best Tomione stories I've EVER READ. Extremely well thought out, beautiful, with amazing references to canon and history.

This was super interesting to read! I love the little hints that you would throw back to canon, but how this was also very much uniquely your own. I read a nonmagic AU somewhat recently, and discussions that I've seen about how they aren't all that prevalent in the HP fandom made me that much more on the look out for them. You did an awesome job with this one; it's AUs like this that make me feel like fandom as a whole shouldn't be so hesitant to read nonmagic ones-you had awesome characterization, and engaging plot, and I love how you used sci-fi concepts to draw parallels between science and magic!

Uh but yeah this was a great read! The dynamic between Tom and Hermione was great, as well; I'm such a fan of tragic love, and the fact that she admits her love but is still willing to do the right thing despite him is so beautiful and poignant to me. I'm such a fan of this kind of thing haha. The fact that you gave them a happy ending was appreciated, though! And I was also super interested in the academic aspect of their dynamic; I've always wondered how J.K would have managed Hermione and Tom canonically in the same time/how they would stack up against each other, because it's obvious that they are both so stupidly smart. I think a tie was a good way of managing that haha.

Also, I've recently been coming across a ridiculous amount of Tomione stories in which (more often than not) Hermione's inteligence is sacrificed to attempt to show how cunning Tom is, but... I've always thought that you should just strive that much more to make your character better, not dumb down others to show the gap. I appreciate that you showcased their inteligence well-both of them!

I'm really curious to know who on earth could be trying to kill Hermione. Another person from the future? It would be odd for so many to be sent back but who knows at this point.

I like the way Tom's care for her is growing. It's unorthodox and uncertain but it's very much there, even if it's platonic (not certain thats even the right word for this). I love how he told her he knows. It was absolutely perfect.

I love that she decked Malfoy how awesome and so unexpected for the times. I love that they're constantly apologizing for swearing. I love that Riddle is honest to god obsessed with Hermione. It's very odd that she hasn't noticed his fascination with her necklace or felt the chip like honestly? How odd.

Her feeling thrilled by him is a bit weird. I'm anxious to see where that goes, esp since he's invited her to look over his work. I wonder how long before she realizes he knows or he acknowledges that he knows about her being from the future.

Wow? This is really incredible I have no idea what is going on but it isn't a turn off? You're writing is really incredible and intriguing and it forces you to keep reading because you just want to /know/ what is going to happen and how and just...WOW.

His relationship with his followers is so perfectly written. When he dug his knife into his arm is was what the actual fuck what is wrong with these boys but also his power over them is so evident. I can't wait to see why, if it's ever outed.

The curious stranger who was really quiet honestly waiting for Hermione was wild. The fact that she found this secret place and he was just there like what does all of this mean and whats going /on/ really its just...it's inspiring, really, that you've taken all these characters and genuinely made them yours in the incredible tale and yet they're all perfect in character and your AU world is parallel to the original.

I really cant wait to see where this goes between Tom and Hermione. I really don't think there is the possibility of any romance (o/s of anything either of them do as a means to an end) but the fact that she was told she can't go back and this stranger knows who she is so obviously something very important passes between TR and HG-

This is so interesting and such a great concept. Your Tom is so clinical and spot on so far. I always really appreciate when he is seemingly a flat character who expands with every word or gesture.

I don't think I've ever read a time travel non-magical fic and I'm /really/ looking forward to this. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I didn't even think I LIKED non-magical AUs until reading this and now I've read a good 7 so it's definitely fantastic. You're a great writer, and your focus on the intense scenes truly make them emotional and very exciting. This plotline was also brilliantly thought out and I loved the canon-comparisons you made. Gemma was especially my favorite, it was a very good idea to include she and Lestrange's tangent, made the characters all the more real.
