| Animekitty47 chapter 3 . 10/1/2013
Marvelous chapter. Nice job with the tension and Fikri still being sympathetic but not enough to change anything. So glad I don't have to wait for the cliffie to be resolved. :D

Am finally getting caught up with this story. It is going well. Waiting for your further muse-inspired chapters!

These tattoos turn out to be very useful indeed - well, that was probably the reason for them being employed by the tribes.
And your muse has further plans? That'll be interesting to see!

Dear Linda: It looks as if things will work out after all! I agree with Aragorn's observation that Tahir will have to watch the boy like a hawk. In such a situation, I would be concerned not just that the boy be prevented from harming himself, but from harming others. But while it will indeed require a lot of patience-and luckily, as Faramir notes, the Ambassador is a patient man-it seems likely that Fikri/Fathi will not only have a future, but a happier one. Especially now that he has been told that the man whom he believed to be his father, now dead, was not his father and indeed probably killed the man who truly was. That relieves the boy of the responsibility of seeking revenge on Aragorn, Faramir, or anyone else in Gondor-which the boy might have felt obligated to do.
I have one minor criticism. The sentence "...Dima, who was married to Badar, a good man of our tribe once she came of age" is awkward. Maybe it would be better as "...Dima, once she came of age, was married to Badar, a good man of our tribe." Otherwise, the dialogue is as well-written as ever, and the presence of the Ambassador in this story is enjoyable. I especially liked the conversational exchange between the Steward and the King at the end. Thank you for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover

Great chapter! Loved it! Glad that Fikri has actually family! I hope you intend to write a bit more about him fitting in with Tahir. D

Very good-interesting development with Fikri being related to Tahir!

I was so excited to see this continued! This chapter really lives up to the quality of the original piece. You handle the medical aspect especially well. I'm glad that you didn't shy away from showing the full impact of Fikri's injuries-that they are painful and debilitating and that there's only so much that even Aragorn can do for them. The interactions between Fikri and Faramir continue to be the highlight of this story. That Fikri would interpret mercy as vengeance is heart-wrenching, but so plausible. Thanks for posting, and I hope to see more soon!

Dear Linda: This is perhaps the best chapter of the story so far! The dialogue is excellent, and strangely enough, I thought the insults were particularly creative and well written. As usual, you have kept both Aragorn and Faramir in-character by having them show mercy to a captured foe, and I am pleased that you used that as an opportunity to bring your OC Ambassador Tahir into the tale. I have always liked him, and usually enjoy any story that involves him. Moreover, I very much enjoyed the h/c present in your inclusion and portrayal of the father-son relationship and friendship between the King and his Steward. It seems typical of Faramir that his worst nightmare would involve not a threat to his own personal safety, but that of those whom he loves the most. Well done! Your descriptions were colorful, too, especially those telling of the marks on Fikri. And then you end the chapter on a cliffhanger! I can hardly wait for the next chapter. The original form of this story that you wrote for Teitho was very good, but this elaboration of it is even better and more enjoyable. Please post the next chapter soon. Sincerely, Darkover

Ah, what a cliffie! But I think it's a good cliffie.
| Virtuella chapter 5 . 9/12/2013
Ah, and there was me thinking the plot would be resolved in this chapter. But things take another interesting turn...

Another twist in the tale! Excellent.
| Virtuella chapter 4 . 9/4/2013
Ah! I was expecting the boy to do something in Faramir's favour, but I didn't expect him to be shot in the process. You'll be kind and rescue him, won't you?

Another great chapter! I can't wait for the rest of it!
