RadicalErin chapter 1 . 2/3/2022 I know you said you wrote this as an exploring of sexuality, but I don't really get that from it. I get more ... grief, life, adaptation, some abstract concept related to becoming comfortable with someone. That sort of isolated vibe really is somehow vital to the atmosphere of it, too. |
Lukkai chapter 1 . 4/14/2020 That was kind of beautiful, it really was. And I know why you didn't include it and it absolutely makes sense not to. But I desperately would like to read that phone call of Ranma's with Nodoka and Kasumi. By the way: They could call the kid Akane no matter the gender, couldn't they. As far as I know, the name is more usual for girls, but at least somewhat gender neutral. I certainly do remember at least one male character carrying it from Japanese stories I've read/watched. |
MHARanma12fan chapter 1 . 12/11/2018 From the first time I came across this story, I have read it whenever it snows. Something about the setting, at the opening paragraph. Thank you for the story. It is perfect as a one-shot. A continuation would be difficult to construct, and still capture the ambiance of this tale. Though, that said. I hope you can be inspired to do a follow-up story; it sounds like Nodoka would enjoy knowing that 'she' is a grandmother. Again. Thank you. |
S0u7 chapter 1 . 8/9/2015 Most of the time I ain't really one for slash fics but this one here had a... homeliness to it that isn't really common in most Ranma fics I have encountered over the years. The moments of heartwarming and care between the two made for a heartening read. Would really be interested in a continuation but this kinda ending suits me just fine as well. A heartwarming read indeed. Kudos, S0u7 |
Ozzallos chapter 1 . 7/7/2015 It's nice in a way that you didn't back down from the potentially squicky subject matter. Invests realism into the characters and makes me want to fire up my Ranma!Konatsu fic again. Still not the hugest fan of the hic-Ranma characterization, but telling is good enough to overlook the part in favor of the sum total, that is to say "good stuff". |
Crimson Yrael chapter 1 . 12/21/2014 I really enjoyed reading this story, and the premise was far more plausible than most stories of this nature that I've read. Very solid conversation and description. My one caveat with the story is that I don't think that Ranma would still be so adamant about the 'I'm a guy' stuff after this long. At this point it seems more likely that his gender identity would be a 50/50 split. The proclamations about his masculinity always seemed like the stance of an insecure teenager, which Ranma no longer is in this story. A very interesting read nonetheless! |
Guest chapter 1 . 6/25/2014 Cute |
LonelyNightz chapter 1 . 2/2/2014 I loved this! Great job! |
shugokage chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 Wow amazing story! |
Messiah Machine chapter 1 . 9/2/2013 Well met! I, for one, think that the story works best as a oneshot. I think it was the right artistic choice. Less can be more, and the open-endedness of the oneshot emphasizes hopefulness. However, I think that chronological sign posting could have been handled a little better, to help the reader really feel a progression of time in the flashbacks. |
FireInLife chapter 1 . 8/24/2013 I rather enjoyed this one shot, along with Ranma and Ryoga's relationship. There was one part I was a bit confused about however. When Ranma showed Ryoga that he was pregnant, I had thought that the next scene took place in the future instead of a flash back to when they had sex. Then suddenly Ryoga finds out Ranma is pregnant, so I had to go back and find out what I misread. Other than that, I think you did pretty good. I kind of hoped to see Ranma's conversation with his mom, but it was still a nice place to end. |
sB chapter 1 . 8/18/2013 This definitely needs to be continued. Ranma making peace with Nodoka is extremely important for emotional health while pregnant, and childbirth. It's not something one can glean easily from the way Ranma is presented but is there and needs much more exploration than has been put out. Please continue this lovely piece. |
Neihaera chapter 1 . 8/18/2013 This is a sweet, well-developed and lovely piece ... thank you. |
Ashar chapter 1 . 8/17/2013 Cute, if perhaps a little... forced. Or at least TO ME felt a little forced. But all in all it's understandable. After all, encompassing 15 years in about ten thousand words would make any reader feel the time compression. I liked it, yet what is REALLY a downer is the end. It's an end that isn't. A lot of endings are still open, like the matter with Nodoka and the what the hell happened to the others. Ranma1/2 pivots a lot on the secondary chars and the need for a closure for them (or at least the more important amongst them) is felt, reading your ending. It is four stars over five for you, I guess. :) |
