I don't get why he didn't pick up Hedwig and instead got this different Owl? what's the point of that?

The time has come where I reread all of your works again...This is still, hands down, my favorite Harry Potter fic. The writing, the characters, the plot, all amazing. I dont think I will ever, *ever* get sick of reading these.

I read it all the way through when I found it. You are now my new favorite, you join such writers as fringeperson and GenkaiFan, people I trust to know what they're doing in their chosen genre and who can be trusted to use the English Language, grammar included, correctly.

He sees Ron and Hermione together in the mirror? Yuck lol. One of the biggest mistakes Rowling did in canon was that inexplicable and totally unsuitable pairing. Although Lupin and Tonks was also pretty bad. Especially when Lupin was being an idiot and running away from his pregnant girlfriend because he was having self esteem issues. You know what, pretty much all the main pairings were garbage for one reason or another lmao.

Why would Hermione be mad at Harry when he tried to prevent her from seeing that picture? Obviously it was created by someone to make fun of both of them. Is Hermione supposed to be smart and stupid at the same time in this AU?

Quirrelmort enquiring after his health was surprising lol. I wonder if you're going for a slightly redeemable Voldemort somehow? Not sure how you'll pull that off though.

Umbridge banning him from quidditch permanently doesn't make sense from what we've been told. She simply had a position at Hogwarts at the time, so what, did she also pass a law in the wizengamot or something about him and quidditch?! Why? Wasn't she just banning him at Hogwarts? All of her educational decrees were thrown out the window when Voldemort's return was recognized, yet this ban was still in effect years later?!

There's mention of magical contracts. So what, in this AU did she force him to sign a contract stating he'd never play again? And he signed it? Or did she somehow fool such magic by using his blood? As if such a thing is easy to do? How did she pull something like this off, and why go to such trouble for something this petty?

The Hedwig thing just seems dumb. I mean, is he going to refuse befriending Hermione and Luna (or getting into an eventual relationship with either) because they aren't "his" Hermione and Luna? They are still at their core the same people he came to care about. They still have the same core attributes such as loyalty and intelligence. He just needs to start over, only he can make their lives better this time, and be better to them. It is exactly the same with Hedwig. She's still the same owl she was last time when he first bought her, the same extremely loyal owl with a personality. You'd think he'd want a do over where he can feed her more treats, spend more time petting her, and make sure she doesn't die... Him not buying her is basically the same as him totally ignoring Luna this lifetime.

Hate it. Instantly stopped reading when you left hedwig in the shop.
