|Reviews for Sugar and Spice|
| KateB chapter 1 . 3/23
A treat for the senses, not to mention the sensual. You give us a delicious tour of Paris and of the intricacies of French pastry-making. You top it off with wonderfully satisfying, dead-on portraits of our fabulous girls giving in to their sizzling attraction. Magnifique!
| CharmH chapter 13 . 2/18
Oh this is so stunning! I loved it, loved it, loved it!
Your writing has made the characters come to life for me. I experienced their most inner feelings through your writing. You have an astounding talent for writing.
You have a new follower.
| CharmH chapter 12 . 2/18
I had a sense that this would happen, Maura relocating to Boston, but I did not know how it would happen. Now I do. This was a very clever twist in your plot to make this happen.
Your writing has also made me feel the panic in Maura. I can also feel her relieve in finally making the decision that she felt looming over her.
| CharmH chapter 11 . 2/18
I agree with Maura. The perfect end to a perfect day. Even though she was alone, it was still the perfect end for a perfect day.
| CharmH chapter 10 . 2/18
'Then...could you go through to your bedroom? Please? That tortoise is watching me again'.
A long distance relationship was doomed in the olden days when only the postal system was up and running. Now we have telephones, email, instant messaging and Skype. And they still fail most of the time.
This is so extremely difficult for Jane and Maura. Your words are so descriptive of their deepest feelings that you make the readers feel it too.
| CharmH chapter 8 . 2/17
How sad. Being forced by circumstances to leave a new found love, your soul mate. Hating it but basically having no other choice.
| CharmH chapter 7 . 2/17
"playing on the safe side" is definitely not what your words are implying. And the anticipation builds... *licks lips*
| CharmH chapter 6 . 2/17
The way that Jane and Maura connect on a very deep level is very endearing, especially as they have basically just met each other.
| CharmH chapter 5 . 2/17
You have just revved the level of anticipation to red hot.
I am so glad that I am only reading this story now, after it has been completed. I would not have been able to wait for the next chapter.
| CharmH chapter 4 . 2/17
As I said in my review of the previous chapter, this is getting very, very interesting. Your words are creating the possibility of Jane just maybe experiencing her first gay kiss. You are spinning a web of anticipation in the reader.
| CharmH chapter 3 . 2/17
Ooh... This is going to be very interesting. Maura thinks Jane is gay. Jane have wondered about being with a woman but she haven't explored it further yet.
This brings back so many memories of discovering yourself. The angst of trying to understand all these feelings. Having to cope with trying to accept yourself as gay, not to mention the stress surrounding you in hoping that nobody in your family will notice anything.
Your writing talent is a real gem. You have brought forth all of these long forgotten emotions by placing us in the room, as observers, with Jane and Maura.
| CharmH chapter 2 . 2/17
Subtle hint? Don't think so. Kikiki...
| CharmH chapter 1 . 2/17
The start of this story has me totally hooked. Hook, line and sinker.
| lashawn chapter 1 . 1/13
I love this story. Maura is everything Casey wasn’t. She was willing to give everything up for Jane, and Jane is thrilled about that. I like their relationship in this story. It’s not solely based on sex or a desperate attempt to escape loneliness.
