This was really great, a fresh take on the whole vamp version of rk fandom. Loved it, and the fact that it was finished!

I freaking love the limo scene. Kenshin's fear and Kaoru's anger are perfect, and so much fun to read! The slow transition into joy is super sweet, and the driver's misunderstanding makes me laugh every time. I just can't get over this mental image of Kenshin's despair turning to delight as he dodges Kaoru's violence. Is it weird that this confrontation is my favorite part of the whole story?

I thought I would skip through to the best parts on this read-through, but here we are, and I've read every word. Half way, and I'm having a great time. I love Hiko, and I love the KenKao dynamics, and I love how detailed and interesting this world is. Seriously, such a good read. It's a classic.

What an incredible story! Thank you for persevering and keeping at it through the years. Incredibly well-written. Absolutely love the character development, plot progression, the way you write the action scenes, and intricacies of your story especially on conservation/restoration or even the science behind the blood. Truthfully, am typically not a fan of vampire!Kenshin fics because they tend to be one-dimensional but you’ve added such a creative dimension to a tired motif.

This is one of my favorite Rurouni Kenshin stories. I’m very impressed with how you’ve taken the vampire trope and done something original with it. I can only imagine the amount of planning and creativity that went into this story. Such a wonderful read, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this story. Its probably the best vampire RF fic ive read so far. I really like how you take your time to develop each character and give highlights to the minor characters but at the same time not loosing sight as to what this story is. Its not often that I read a romance fic that talks about Kenshin’s POV as much as you talked about it here and I appreciate that you did that because though Kaoru is very relatable we are all curious as to whats going on in Kenshin’s head.
My favorite scene is the final showdown with Rikuto, Kenshin, and Kaoru. I know you said you werent sure how it turned out and that you were not confident about it as much but i think you did a wonderful job. It was nice to see everyone struggling, giving their all. And i most especially like how you portrayed Kaoru as someone who can hold her own because as much as I love Kenshin saving her, i think her strength was shadowed by everyone’s skill in the anime and movies (really hoped they had a better interaction in the the final movie…another discussion).
I just wanted this to keep going but all good things come to an end.. i can wait to read those extra chapters you were talking about. I can never have enough K&K. Keep up the good work. You are an awesome writer and Im lucky to come across your stories because they are all written well and I can appreciate the time and effort you put in it. Thank you so much.

What can I say but you’re naturally amazing. Your stories are really diverse that I can choose what to reread based on my mood, whether I want a quick fix of KenKao or a long wonderful ride. I can’t remember how many times I reread your stories and they are just as exciting every time. I am looking forward to those extra chapters with just happy nonsense and for more KenKao moments. Wow. Just...wow. I can't really even put into words how I feel after finishing this story! The entire work was just magnificent and it was such a pleasure getting to go on this journey with these characters! You made such a special world with some of my favorite characters and I am so glad I found your story! I am equally happy and at peace with your perfect ending, but also so sad that it is over. What a journey! You are incredible for writing such a story, and I guess all I can say is thank you. I'm going to start rambling if I keep typing, so one last time I say thank you for this. I can't wait for some time to pass so I can come back and read it all over again (because I know I will!). You rock.

Ah, what a wonderful vampire story!
The way you kept switching between POVs was great, albeit slightly confusing at times. I enjoyed Kenshin's thoughts and feelings, and his possessive-protective approach was absolutely amazing here. His inner turmoil added a great layer of consciousness, and reminded me of his character in the series, with your own twist, of course
Kaoru, as well, was very well done in terms of what drove her as a character, her fears, hopes and behavior in general. It was all extremely well done.
Not to mention, the grammar! Thank you so much for writing with great style and a sense for the correct tense at the correct time. I had a lot of fun appreciating the beauty of language here. Either by accident or on purpose (I'm sure it's on purpose), I liked the refrain that the line "Something. Smelled. Wonderful" created when it appeared at the beginning and close to the end of the story.
Never stop writing, you'll be depriving us of your talent and imagination!
